Nice course, good condition, super friendly staff, carts are not the best, overall a good experience for the money.

I read reviews and everyone spoke about the greens being a disaster but they have made this place come back to life. Couldnt beat the price well worth it.

Course condition is getting better and better every time I play here. Staff is super friendly. Great layout.

Played this course over the summer and it was in poor conditions. Heard they hired more staff and it showed. Greens and fairways were nice . Got a hot deal and it was well worth the money

Course conditions not bad for this time of year.
Greens surprisingly in good shape, a tad slow.

Played here early in the year it was awful big improvement keep up the good work.

After a lost Summer and grounds keeper change S.S. is on its way back. Besides a few greens the course is in very nice shape and improving daily

This is a great course to play if your a beginner to intermediate. Not too crowded.

Some of the greens were patchy and the tee boxes are still very sandy.

The only good thing to say about this course was the pace of play. But that was only good because of the weather prediction with rain in the forecast. The greens were horrible! I understand it was being airated, but there were patches of dead grass and dirt patches on the greens itself. The tee boxes were uneven and needed help. The fairways were ok at best. Overall this course was in horrible condition.

This experience was somewhat disappointing. I have read that this was supposed to be the best course on Staten Island but I found that it fell far short of my expectations. Keep in mind that I did tee off at 4 p.m. so your morning experience may differ. First, there was a foursome ahead of me who were using this time to practice and hit 3 balls each. Mind you, I was by myself and at no point did they care how long they took (they were walking and I was in a cart) and maybe ask if I wanted to play through. Then, on one of the holes there were a group of teens just hanging out on the fairway from the neighboring block. A couple of holes later, I was standing in the tee box on a par 3. I look down at my ball and when I look back at the pin, an employee had come onto the green to move the hole location. He couldn't have waited for me to shoot? And finally to top it all off, on the 16th tee after I had hit my ball I entered my cart and stepped on the gas and the cart no longer worked. I called for help from the pro shop, which is no more than 100 yards from the 16th tee and was told help would be on the way. 5 minutes later, still no help in sight I pumped on the accelerator and it finally started up again. Overall, miserable day.

Besides being too crowded, it was a cart path only day. I believe that is a big reason for the slow play. The next time I plan to play here I will call first and if its cart paths only, I'll play somewhere else.

Makes it tough on a hot day. Will bring a hidden cooler if I go back

Overall in very nice shape with greens tee boxes and fairways in nice condition. Wide open at 1 pm played in a two-some in 3 1/2hours.

Course has strategically placed trees off the tee. Put extra attention where you want to place the ball for your second shot. It can be a long day if you keep punching out.

you should be careful with who golf now is associated with.
we showed up for our 945 tee time and when we got to the tee box there was 6 groups ahead of us, and one group that was 937 had 6 players. I want to know how south shore books their tee times because I never heard of 6 players in a group 8 min ahead. the weather was great so the delay was the golf courses. we ending up waiting till 1020 and still having 3 groups to tee we walked off and never played!!! thanks for nothing but wasting our time!!!

Liked the setup of many of the holes. Not the longest course and not a lot of trouble, but taken care of for the most part and worth the cost of the round. Less than $70 with cart on a NYC Muni course is not bad. Bunker maintenance could use a bit of work once warmer weather hits. We had a very early tee time so that fact that the course was busy had not yet affected the pace of play (we got a four hour round in), but with only one guy checking people in and a computer system that did not seem to give him a lot of support, the tee times were undoubtedly going to back up later in the day.

I like playing hear because every time I play the course seam to change

I live in Staten Island and I haven't golfed here in quite some time. This is why I go to NJ to golf. $ 70 per round and the course was in very bad shape. This is the third time in 6 months. They should charge no more than 30 a round during peak season. I don't think I will golf there again.

Cheaper at Golf course than online price. With booking fee cost would have been $5 cheaper per person, $20 cheaper for foursome if booked with Golf Course. Why is this?
