Nice Shape
Course was in good shape. Greens were full and quick.
Horrible conditions
Greens good, but the compliments stop there. Fairways are an embarrassing combination of high uncut broadleaf grass, dandelion and other weeds. You could lose your ball in the fairway. Tee boxes uncut too. It sucked year but I gave it another shot today. Never again.
Bad Shape
I got a 6:52 AM time. Pro shop didn’t open until 7:15. Tee boxes are horrible. Huge mud/divots and 2” grass. Fairways and rough are the same shaggy length. Way overwatered. Ubputtable. Quit after the front 9
At least the carts are fast.
Long par 4's
Course was average for publice course. Greens in decent condition. Fairways and tee boxes could use some work. Good value for money spent. Played in less than 3 hours,
Crabgrass USA
Crabgrass everywhere. Could not tell fairway from the rough. Course conditions as bad as i have seen in a long time.
Terrible Condition and Course Does Not Have Current USGA Rating/Slope
In addition to this course being in terrible condition, it overdue for the mandatory USGA Course Rating required every 8 years. Without that rating USGA says scores for rounds played there can not be used for computation of a USGA Handicap. This course ignores the USGA prohibition of advertising a course rating and slope even though they are aware that a course rerating is long overdue. Ask them about this and you will get a story about how they plan to have the course rated "soon". Layout of this course is great, but no money is being spent to maintain it to even the most minimum of standards. Don't waste your money
Very poor conditons
Other then the greens which were only in fair condition, I would have to say I don't think i have ever seen a course in that bad of condition. Crabgrass seemed to be the grass of ;choice on every fairway and there was a lot of it !! They need to shut this course down and do some serious course repair. I will not be back !!!
Poor condition
About the only positive thing I can say about this course is the greens were ok, fairways and tee boxes were horrible!! I never seen so much crabgrass on a golf course, they need to close it down and kill the crabgrass and reseed . Will never golf there again.
Needs work! Do your rain dance!
The course was dry. Tee boxes were tore up. Some tee boxes were made in the fairway. A big plus was that greens and bunkers were great shape! Some fairways needed some work.
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
By far the worst course on the west shore and in Cumberland county. I am astonished they can call themselves a “golf club” with these poor playing conditions. Every fairway is considered rough at any other course around the area. The course looks like it hasn’t been mowed and weeks. It is not taken care of. Don’t waste your time or money. Go somewhere else.
Two Words... Dog Track
Some of the worst conditions I’ve ever seen. The fairways and tee boxes are a nice combination of dirt, weeds, killed crab grass and burnt out areas. We only paid $14 to play on GN, and that was way to much.
Bring your long irons
A nice course overall, enjoyable layout. It is relatively long, the 2 ending holes are memorable long par 4s. Fairways were ratty but the greens were ok. I'll play again for a good price....
