Overbooked
Cumberland had a tournament in the morning and then over booked tee times in the afternoon. Course is improving from last year when all the fairways were burnt out. Pace of play was slow.
Grass needs to be mowed
The fairways are almost the same height as the rough which is good if you hit the rough. The tee box are over grown and the whole place needs to be seeded. I love this course and could be great with a little work! Will they? Well they haven’t in 2 years. My buddy said this was a great course back in the day! That was then! What about now?
Not Great, but Appropriately Priced
This definitely isn't a golf course that will wow you. It's simple and quite easy. So if you're just starting out, this is a good place to play. It cost $20 on a Friday afternoon, which I have no complaints about. I've spent more money on worse courses.
The course is not in great shape, to be honest. The greens are okay, but the fairways are pretty rough. Considering how terrible the weather's been this year, I'm inclined to give it a pass. Conditions have been rough at pretty much all the courses I've played in the past several months.
Disappointed... horrible shape
The course was in very, very, very poor condition... what I would call almost ‘unplayable’. The tee boxes were all closed and the tee boxes were all moved in front of the normal boxes in high grass with an uneven stance. The grass in the fairway didn’t look like it was cut for two weeks and was the height of typical rough... it looked like my backyard. You couldn’t even tell where the fairways stopped and the rough started. Honestly, if they were going to keep the course open with it being in such horrible shape, they should have provided a disclaimer to its patrons before you waste your time going there.
Worse. Conditions for paying for a round of golf that I ever experienced. Looked like the course ran out of money for upkeep and mowing. Should have beeen closed. Fairways were bare or the remaining grass was not mowed. The greens were spotted diseased. One of the foursome stated that we should have been paid to play there.
Rough Shape
Greens were in pretty good shape but fairways and tee boxes were in rough shape.
Good value
Well worth the GolfNow price. Had a good time and the weather was excellent. Quite a few bare spots but greens were good.
Seen Better
I've seen this course in much better shape before. Tee boxes where beat up for some reason. Greens also weren't in the best condition. Not sure why.
Good pace and great time
My son is still learning how to golf. This course makes it nice to learn from.
Cumberland
Course showed signs of drought with lots of brown and dead spots. Greens were cut but the clippings were never removed. Still can't beat the price to ride on a Friday morning.
This course is decent, not great
Greens were in good shape. Fairways and roughs needed mowed. Very flay, but enough water and long holes to make it challenging.
I arrived a few minutes late. I was advised to catch up to a group of three and join their carts. I went to the tee and there was a twosome with a full cart and ahead of them was a foursome with two full carts. I was charged an extra 15$ to take a cart and I played 18 holes as a single. Felt like a ripoff.
Fair lay out
Tee boxes were not mowed and I pretty sure the traps haven't been edged or redone in anyway in years. Just another golf course that will be glad to take your money and not put it back into the course to make it worth your money to play there.
Enjoyable course
The course was in great shape, especially for late November! A rare 63 degree day had the course busy, but the pace of play was still acceptable. Enjoyed it greatly!
Great round of golf
course in excellent shape and green were soft and easy to stick. grass was mowed at right length and did not lose a ball in deep grass
