Sub-Par Course
Pace of play is terrible. On multiple occasions, we caught up to groups a head of us even if we waited for them to finish a par 4.
Pin locations were terrible, almost off the green and on a slope.
Tee boxes either had weeds or minimum grass.
Range is old, and terf mats at the range should be thrown out.
Price isn't worth it.
Has Potential, but lacking...
Rough is really thick, not sure if this is normal or not as this was the first time my buddy and I played here. Course also lacks both ball washers and trash cans at the tee boxes. I understand not having ball washers on every hole but on only hole #1 and hole #10 doesn't cut it. There is also a lack of signage for where the next holes are. You don't always have to have signs, a simple can of white spray paint will do on the cart paths. These are all relatively minor things that just all add up together. But, with a little bit of TLC this course has really good potential.
Golf course management 101
My tee time was set for 1:15, I came to the 10th tee at 3:05 and there was about 50 golfers that had their league that day. We had to skip 2 holes to finish pur round and never hot around to finishing those holes because there was a group on those when we were done. Fairways weren't mowed, either were the greens. The tee boxes were uneven and wavy. And the staff wasn't friendly
Good Day For Golf
This is a fun little course. Not too much danger. Greens were in great shape.
Very disappointed
I am not one to take the time to leave a review but Sunday's round was a total surprise. On a perfect day in the mid 70s, a well-liked golf course looked like it hasn't seen maintenance in a while. Most trash cans were overflowing with trash to the point it was blowing around the course. Then at the turn at 12:30, they did not have any form of food (expect them wrinkled HOT sausage). The food I can look past but the condition of general maintenance needs attention.
Great value
Price is fair, staff friendly, plays long, tee boxes need lots of attention. 1 walking bridge is unsafe. 17 should be a par 5. Last 2 holes will gut punch you with nice challenges.
A bit of a long course...
There's one true dogleg hole... all the par 3s are around 200 yards... nothing in the 130 to 150 range requiring precision... but... the course is wide open... so if you miss a fairway... you'll still likely find yourself on another fairway.
Texipen
The course is good course to play. I have played here several times. The only draw back for me was the tight tunnels you have to drive through. The tunnel will definitely make you slow down and be safe ...lol.
Overall all aspects of the course are good. I love the layout of the course with the mostly wide fairways.
You Get What You Pay For?
The tee boxes are a joke. Absolutely unplayable, uneven, placed in the middle of the rough, not mowed, or just a sloped pile of dirt.
Aerated greens & we had to wait every shot
No real heads up on aerated greens so putting was brutal - should not have been that price for those greens and the bunkers are like pebble pits with very little sand. We had to wait on every shot with a threesome in front that never let us play through and took their sweet time as they cheated their tails off! The course was not that full for how nice it was on a weekend & there needs to be some management by a Ranger of pace of play. My worst experience there at a course that I like fairly well. Tons of land mines unrepaired on too many greens. That is on their regular clientele. Also prepaid & had to go to the nth degree to convince a kid working there that I prepaid. Aggravating experience there!
Nice course!
Very nice course. Some difficulty finding next hole. Would be helpful if markers were all on posts up in the air, not flat in the grass.
Pace of Play
T-Times were double booked- No Fault of staff there was a computer issues. Group in front of us were extremely slow and refused to allow others to play through. They would each chip than putt out one guy at a time. Ranger was notified by multiple groups to no avail. 3.5hrs to play 9 holes was a bit much.
pace of play
2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. No rangers No golf edicate. They lost 3 holes to the group in front of them. Frustrating.
