Red/White at Arrowhead Golf Course

Very nice golf course and even nice ownership/managment. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The players are also very nice people. ALways a pleasant experience goling at Arrowhead.

A Hidden Gem in Berks County! Ok...so the greens are a little slow, but, they roll perfect every time. Family owned and operated, this is a great walking course, and plays longer than than it looks. Opens with two par 5's to postage stamp greens and elevation changes to challenge all handicappers. Open fairways in the front give way to a tighter back nine with some challenging doglegs and a 240yd par 3. Have Fun!

Arrowhead was great! The staff was friendly and they had some good snacks in the pro shop. The course itself was a very good condition. It is a challenging course but not overly difficult for no reason. The course was wide open which was amazing, so our usual slightly slower pace of play was not an issue. Fun, challenging, and relaxing course for a great price given the quality. We will definitely be back.

I have played this course 2 times in the last month. The fairways are like concrete. I understand bc of the lack of rain. But we got a decent about last week and they where still really dry. The first time I played as a two some and we where backed up on whole 1 and it took us 4 hrs and 45 min to play 17. We skipped whole 3 because the twosome in front of us where taking 6-7 shots to get the the green. Played three wholes with not waiting then got caught in a backup for the remaining 12 holes. We played last weekend and when we arrived for a 10:25 team time we did not hit off the first tee till 11:05. Then is was so backed up it took us 5 hours to play. So from waiting from our original T time till we walked off the course at 4pm it was about 5.5 hours. Play here during the week but I would avoid the weekends.

I have been playing this course regularly for the past 30 years. The course was is in good condition. If your are looking for a good value, right now the course is at the best I’ve seen in the past several years. Greens were well kept, The fairways were in decent shape. The only negative in terms of condition were the traps. They weee in need of sand and a bit washed out. But if you have good command of your shot, it won’t be an issue.

While overall was an enjoyable day, fairways were very dry and sparse. Greens, although rolling a bit slow, in pretty good shape. Layout challenging for the novice I am, so will look forward to another round this fall/next spring when things have greened in. With a round under my belt I will have a better idea how to play this course, especially 16 and 17.
