Gilbertsville Golf Club is a public, 27-hole layout in New Hanover Township. The holes are divided into three different nines called the Red, White, and Blue. The nines sprawl across the rolling hills of Montgomery County, which is most apparent on the most challenging of the three, the Blue Course. The Red and White, the club's original 18 holes, have a more traditional layout while the Blue Nine, which was added 30 years later, is more modern with rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. Surprisingly the Blue is the shortest of the three golf courses but it feels longer due to the constant up-and-down. Golfers will encounter a number of tricky lies on this nine and there is also water coming into play on nearly every hole.

Made a few craters on the greens and happily used the repair tool. Unfortunately choked on my few birdie putts. Photo submitted by u000007953538 on 11/18/2013

Irritated
Booked an available tee time 7:30 am. Got there 7 am. Note on the door said 8am wi yet hours... dude showed up appalled and irritated that we would book a tee time for the morning in this cold weather.
You got an issue, don’t advertise a tee time that is not acceptable per your standards.
Thank you for taking the time to review Gilbertsville Golf Club. We are sorry to hear you may have had a negative experience with any individual on our staff. This is not acceptable and by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We welcome any further feedback as to why you gave 1 star and what we can do to improve.
Good value with challenging holes
The course had 1 and 1/2 inches of rain the night before and struggles draining well. However, the course is a good layout. The blue course was in better condition of the three 9 hole courses. Would definitely play again.
Very nice course
I enjoyed myself very much the course is great and I got hooked up with a older couple that were fun to play with
Great weekend value
This course is a hidden gem. I had never heard of it till this year and have played multiple times. The course is challenging but not intimidating to an average or below average player. The variety in hole distances can really give you all you could want. The red and blue course have some good elevation changes for the area. This course offers 27 holes and the staff is very accommodating if you want to mix an match when they are not overly busy. I highly recommend giving it a try and you cannot beat 18 and a cart for under $50 first thing in the morning on a weekend.
Holding up well
Except for a few spots in the fairways, the course is in good shape. Worth playing again this season.
new lynx course in area?
seems like they are trying to turn this place into a lynx course. not a raked bunker on the course! every sand bunker now overgrown weed pit. use to be a favorite course butnow on my”do not play again” list
Hello, Bud3686828. We appreciate the review. You rated us 3-stars which means there is room to improve on your recent experience at White at Gilbertsville Golf Club. Let us know, in the comments, how and where you would like to see changes from the course. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice course cool layout
My only complaints about my whole experience were that there was no range, but not a big deal. Secondly some parts of the cart paths weren’t paved lol. If that’s the biggest complaint you can tell the course was nice, good deal and fun to play all in all I would definitely play again
Short easy course
Greena were in great shape. Nice layout and had to hit all clubs and not just driver. Carts dont have rain coverage but were ok.
Nice course for couples
My husband and I visit Gilbertsville golf 3 to 4 times per season. It’s a nice course for the ladies and also has some challenging holes for the men.
Gilbertsville Golf Course
We played Gilbertsville Golf Course and had a good day. The course was in good shape considering all the flooding they had this spring and summer. Jim Wagner the golf pro couldn't be any nicer! They have some long par 4's on the course.
Needs work!
This was our first time and last time playing this course until they start to invest in it. Tees, greens and fairways were in very poor shape which was very disappointing because it has a nice layout and could be a nice place to play. There are much nicer courses in that area to play!
Hi, Vincent. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing White at Gilbertsville Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Hard to judge this course, it was my first time and the area has been getting pounded with rain
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Disorganized mess
I'm going to start this by saying I don't write reviews for anything... ever. I arrived as a single for an early morning tee time and paid for my round. I was informed that I "might want to ask to join the two guys in front of me". Typically a course will assign groupings instead of making a suggestion that a golfer request to join the group in front of them. The starter was clueless about any of the players tee times in front of me and wasn't actually "starting" anybody. I arrived to the first tee at the exact time of my booked tee time to find a 4some on their second shot on the fairway, a foursome on the tee box, the two some that I was told I should ask to join was also waiting on the first tee box, and another single had slipped in on the first tee box in front of me as well.. That's 4 golfers on the first hole fairway and 7 on the first hole tee box at the same time. A total log jam mess to start what would have likely been a 5+ hour round of golf... When I went in to share this with the staff in the club house, one of them got on the computer to look at tee time bookings and mumbled something under his breath complaining about singles coming out to play by themselves. Im guessing the owner of the course wouldn't feel the same way about singles coming out to play the course and paying their weekend AM rate to do so. The other staff member got defensive and tried to explain this as a result of water damage they had recently sustained to the course and that they "couldn't control the weather" which made no sense.. I packed up and headed to another course. I did not request a refund as it is apparent that they need it more than I do and can put it towards the unforeseen water damage that caused them to allow 10+ golfers onto the first hole within 5 minutes of each other. I don't expect much from golf courses in this area but this was about as bad as it gets. Will not return. Do not recommend.
Good course
Course is in great shape but the cart path is another thing very rough and large holes everything else is good
All ways wet
The red and white courses are good the blue is not you take a chance what they are going to send you on being handy capped the blue is a killer
Great conditions
Returned to course after three years and immediately noticed the upgrades in conditions of the fairways and greens.Special attention was directed to fertilizing and maintaining the greens. Still need to improve the bunkers and fairway drainage issues.
Poor Conditions
Went to play golf with a buddy of mine from NJ. Met up in the middle. The guy that was working there was rude. He said something along the lines of "You'll have to wait because I am the only one here" as if that's my problem... If I had other options locally, I would choose that place to play at.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the Gilbertsville Golf Club and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback in regard to the staff to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting White at Gilbertsville Golf Club. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Not Till you Improve
I have played this course numerous times, roughly 60 rounds and is the closest course to my home, but now I cringe when anyone mentions Gilbertsville Golf Club. The course greens are usually good to great shape. That is all I have for the positive except the parking is ample too. The bad, oh boy. I have to say first I have BOOKED via golf now in I don't no how long. But the relative location is off of Swamp Pike, and that is how some fairways play very wet and consistently swampy. The cart paths are poor in the worst parts of the course, lower areas, and have not been improved for years. We don't play on the cart paths but it would be nice not have to ride through all the mud puddles most of the season, in the lousy conditioned carts you offer as well. The sand traps are the worst I have found on any course, but are consistent as well: hard pan, no sand inside them, always have the wash out appearance, and have water inside some ALL THE TIME. Let's face it, this course is overpriced for what you offer. Improvements need to be made before I'll be back or offer a recommendation to anyone I talk to about golfing there. The service in the club house is just average. Let me know when your improved
Thank you for taking the time to review the course. We take single star feedback very serious at our course. You are welcome to comment further or reach out to our team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing White at Gilbertsville Golf Club.
