About
There are two 18-hole courses available at the Hickory Valley Golf Club, the Presidential and the Ambassador. The Presidential is the flagship course and it is also the longer and tougher of the two. The layout incorporates nine of the club's original 27 holes. The Presidential is nearly 300 yards longer than its sister course at 6,721 yards from the championship tees. The golf course has a nice balance of player-friendly features and challenging hazards. The wide fairways are quite forgiving, while the large, undulating greens are framed with bunkers. The signature hole is the par-4 second, which gently doglegs right, requiring a long and accurate tee shot. You're not out of trouble yet though, you'll still have to face the heavily bunkered green that also has a pond to the right.

2nd Green full of birds’ waste.
Need to clean 2-3 greens before open to the public.
Birds’ waste make players not concentrate on putting.

2 for the Ambassador
I’m 71 and I had the pleasure of playing golf with my friend David. We graduated from high school together. Got back together at Penn St. Reunited again on the golf course a few years ago.
Neither of us will ever qualify for any open but as I said today, “ this is the only thing we can play outside at our age”. I can usually break 100 some times even 90. Never broke 80. 1 hole in one decades ago. We just enjoy playing.
Hickory Valley was another good time.

Good course;; But…..
Overall I enjoyed the course. Course knowledge is everything, as always. Being the second time I have played, and many months in between, it was like playing the first time all over again. Just moved to this area, from Rhode Island.
The only thing that could be better, were the greens. They were real spongy, and slow in the morning, as the day went on they did get better. However they were still not that good.
We work hard to create an enjoyable experience so you can focus on enjoying yourself and let us do the rest. We also want to thank you for your honest and constructive criticism of the course. We are going to escalate your review to our team in charge and do everything we can to improve before your next game.

Hickory Valley Presidential course
Enjoyed the course. Holes were challenging but definitely doable. Just had to relax. The Golf gods did claim a couple balls on #10 . Even the guys on the mowers were very courteous.

Played the Presidential Course at Hickory Valley today. The course was in tremendous shape. The fairways were perfect and the greens were in great shape. I highly recommend this course!
