About
There are two 18-hole courses available at the Hickory Valley Golf Club, the Presidential and the Ambassador. The Presidential is the flagship course and it is also the longer and tougher of the two. The layout incorporates nine of the club's original 27 holes. The Presidential is nearly 300 yards longer than its sister course at 6,721 yards from the championship tees. The golf course has a nice balance of player-friendly features and challenging hazards. The wide fairways are quite forgiving, while the large, undulating greens are framed with bunkers. The signature hole is the par-4 second, which gently doglegs right, requiring a long and accurate tee shot. You're not out of trouble yet though, you'll still have to face the heavily bunkered green that also has a pond to the right.

shotgun interruption sadly
starter never warned us that our back nine would be interrupted by shotgun start of senior league... instead rather than wait behind them, we bailed! disappointing

This course was absolutely beautiful. It was fun but tough. The staff was so friendly and upbeat. Got us out on the course right away!

The staff here was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even brought water out to us as it was 90+ degrees out there.

Presidential has lost its luster
I have played Hickory Valley for many years. Love the Presidential layout. However last years storm damage and what appears to be a lack of irrigation this year have left the course wanting. Many greens were already browned out/burned by lack of water. Tee boxes on many holes were dry, hard and scruffy. The course has lost its luster. This used to be one of the best maintained public courses in the area. Not anymore. Sad to se it slump like this.

Good for the price
I’ve played here a few times. It’s a decent course. It’s fun with minimal trouble. The place just needs a TON of work. It’s beat up. Like I said for the price it’s worth it. I’d NEVER spend over $50 a round here though.

President Course at Hickory
Today was the 3rd time playing at Hickory Valley. Played the Preidential course today for the 2nd time. Course was in FANTASTIC shape! But even more than that, their entire staff make you feel WELCOMED. I have played over 50 different courses in the Philly area and they are hands down the friendliest and most personable of any track in the area. Heck, even the playing customers are incredibly nice and friendly, too.
I wish I lived closer, but I gladly will drive the hour to get up there and play either of their 2 courses.There are a LOT of nice courses to play in the immediate area near Gilbertsville, but none are more friendly and welcoming.

Great course great shape
Course was in great condition and the staff was professional. For a Friday in April people who baulked at showing up thank you we pretty much had the course to ourselves

Slow Green
Played there a few times last year but this time greens were slower than I expected. Probably still early in the season.
