About
There are two 18-hole courses available at the Hickory Valley Golf Club, the Presidential and the Ambassador. The Presidential is the flagship course and it is also the longer and tougher of the two. The layout incorporates nine of the club's original 27 holes. The Presidential is nearly 300 yards longer than its sister course at 6,721 yards from the championship tees. The golf course has a nice balance of player-friendly features and challenging hazards. The wide fairways are quite forgiving, while the large, undulating greens are framed with bunkers. The signature hole is the par-4 second, which gently doglegs right, requiring a long and accurate tee shot. You're not out of trouble yet though, you'll still have to face the heavily bunkered green that also has a pond to the right.

How much is it ?!?!?!?!?!?!???????????
First I must say that this place is nice, If you like to give money away.. 2 courses to choose from, 1 course no better then the other,
The money you pay is a little steep, But it`s Sunday,, it`s golf , what are you gonna do. But for the price you pay, they should have better carts, the carts they have are GARBAGE!!! Even the guys ( starters ) say so, But what really got me was , At the turn I went into the clubhouse for a drink , I grabbed a Arnold Palmer ice tea , The can is marked big red numbers 99 cents, When I went to pay for it , It was $2.50, What the heck, A 1 hundred and fifty percent markup ( with that kind of markup they should buy carts ), When I asked the lady , she said that's the price, nothing I can do,,,,,, Is this a loud by law?? This place really has a market on the I don`t care about the CUSTOMER kind of thing, they charge a lot of money to play, They should give the player a small bucket of balls to hit to warm up, but they don`t according to the starters they told me the big boss just wants he money, Well I don`t think I`m telling my friends about this place, Sorry Hickory Valley YOUR JUST NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!
nice course, but poorly marked
nice course, but poorly marked - very hard to find distances - distances are on sprinkler heads, but it was hard to find them

good condition but oh those greens
We found the condition to be good but the greens were monsters.We did not have one level put on 18 holes.I can see some challenging pin positions but all of them?

Great Value for nice course.
Played in afternoon, probably not a good idea from the start. This course must get so much traffic, by the time I went off, could not get a clear putting line without multiple clearly defined footprints. Took a lot of luck to make any putts. Pace was horrible. The waiting started on the first tee. Course has a 4.5 hr round expectation so management doesn't project the urgency to help out the faster playing groups. Literally had 3 groups who were playing behind us leave the course after 14 holes because the constant waiting was just not fun. Will go back but probably not too often..

Great course for a great price

Greens are true speed, fairway are cut well and Tee boxes are nice and flat.

Fun Course
Most the holes are pretty easy, trees come into play on most but as long as you stay out of the rough the course is pretty easy. Course conditions are always good, and I would recommend this course.

A Fun Round
I really liked this course and for $42 on a weekend morning this was an absolute steal. Most of the water hazards shown on the scorecard and the signage at tee boxes were more of like marshes then actual streams/rivers, which is pretty typical anywhere.
I do not profess to be a good golfer by any standards and don't really go much by yard markers, but if they had some stakes on the a fairways instead of spray painted on the card path, my buddy that I was with would've complained a lot less.
Pace of play was fine, only had to wait a couple of times, if anything we held up the group behind us slightly.
Easy drive from Philadelphia and a great spot to meet people who live in the suburbs/Lehigh Valley.

Great Course
I always have a great time out here. Course is well maintained and I didn't have too many issues finding my ball. I got stuck behind 2 4somes though. They were probably at a 4.5 hr round pace. Whereas I was looking at 3 max. They also didn't wave me through. You'll get that anywhere though

Good Value
Course was in great shape, greens were good - some people earlier didn't fix their ball marks.
Played later in the afternoon and didn't hit a single other group, one of the fastest rounds I've played on a Sunday. Lots of water and dog legs make this a pretty interesting layout.
Was talking to the guy in the pro shop afterwards - will definitely be back to try to Presidential course next.
Disappointed
This round was a disappointment from the start. First was the fact that we had a 10:00 tee time and a twosome who had a 9:30 tee'd off at 10:05 in front of us. There was no room for a late group on a crowded course. No starter to monitor this two jumping in line and no rangers in site at all during the 5+ hour round. Course was decent but will not return if that is how they manage their golfers.
Good learners cours
The course staff could not get their act together. I had a tee time for 11:40, arrived at 11:15 and was told my tee time was now 12:00. I walked to get my cart, and the starter told me to hurry when I handed him the slip as we were on the tee box next.
There were no rangers to be found throughout the entire course. The conditions were okay. The greens were a little chewed up. It's a good learners course as it doesn't play long and certain holes scan be unforgiving.
