Presidential at Hickory Valley Golf Club
About
There are two 18-hole courses available at the Hickory Valley Golf Club, the Presidential and the Ambassador. The Presidential is the flagship course and it is also the longer and tougher of the two. The layout incorporates nine of the club's original 27 holes. The Presidential is nearly 300 yards longer than its sister course at 6,721 yards from the championship tees. The golf course has a nice balance of player-friendly features and challenging hazards. The wide fairways are quite forgiving, while the large, undulating greens are framed with bunkers. The signature hole is the par-4 second, which gently doglegs right, requiring a long and accurate tee shot. You're not out of trouble yet though, you'll still have to face the heavily bunkered green that also has a pond to the right.

Hickory/ambassadoriu
Conditions were good, greens were very nice, looked good but we're slower than appeared. Overall had a good time
Great value but round took 4.5 hours
Probably related to the skill level of the golfers ahead of us, plus too closely packed tee times. There wasn't even a starter out there. But for $25, can't complain too much.
Better courses for the same amount of money in the area.
I've played this course many times over the years, and have also played just about every course with in an hour of King of Prussia. Fairways seemed like they hadn't been cut in a few days and the greens were very shaggy and sloooowwww. Other than a 18 (which is a very difficult drive), it is an interesting layout that requires accuracy off the tee to score well. The variety of holes is enjoyable.
There was a very slow threesome holding up the course, but eventually we played through on the back nine and had a great pace after that. At $35 on golfnow for an afternoon tee time it was worth it, but full price is way too high.
Hidden Gem
Excellent course. Played championship tee which is very challenge...
The price is right and well maintained
Today was a great day to play golf. Used golf now got a great deal. The course was in great condition, staff was very nice and courteous . I would recommend hickory valley to anyone looking for a great challenge .
Golf now deal
I booked this last minute on golf now. Great price. The course was in excellent condition. Greens were fast. Would go back again soon
hickory valley ambassador
What a great course to play. The greens are splendid. Quick and soft.. ball stops on a dime. Fairways are plush and well maintained.. very enjoyable to play. Highly recommended. .
nice hole variety
the course was in very good condition. the course favors a ball flight with a fade so if you draw the ball it can be challenging. final 3 holes will determine the winner of a match if you are playing with friends.
Enjoyable Experience
Course was in good shape tee to green. Played in under 3 hrs. Staff (I talked with several staff members around the course) was very friendly and the course showed how well they do their work. Great GOLFNOW Hot Deal. I normally play from Sr tees but was able to score well from the whites. Knowing the doglegs next time will help. Only minor negative, water buckets and port o john were on front 9 only.
Good experience. First time here.
The course was in very good shape and offered some challenging holes throughout. I felt this was a great value and would definitely play here again, probably soon.
Great Thursday Afternoon
I played the Presidential for the first time. I normally play from the whites but the guy I pared up with preferred the blues which worked out well.
The Hot Deal price can't be beat. The course was wide open and in beautiful condition. A lot of dog legs and not much change in elevation. Bunkers strategically placed and some water comes into play a little closer then you think.
Pack a lunch because the snack shop on No 10 was closed?
Nice Course
Course was in good shape and enjoyable to play. We played the Presidential course which is a bit more challenging then it's partner, the Ambassador course. Have played both courses numerous times and can say that they are both worth playing.
Nice condition, fast play
greens were in excellent condition and had a true roll. older course layout with greens sloping back to front. need to kit to spots on some holes to avoid going through fairways on doglegs. good course for players of all levels. low price with Golfnow Hotdeal.
Patricia and I continue to return here
The right length for senior blended with challenging par threes and fives.
nice little course
havent played here for a couple years. pleasantly surprised at the conditions. greens were in decent condition... The mature trees make each hiole unique.... I look forward to playing therrte again soon.
Ambassador to Golf
Course is named appropriately, it is a course that makes paying golf very enjoyable and keeps you coming back.
Hickory Valley Ambassador
Course in good condition as always, except the greens were very slow. Friendly and efficient staff
You need to know your shot lines
It is hard to play this course by yourself for the first time, as is any course. When I first played the course I came away with the feeling I like the course and would play it again. Some free advice.
#2 Target drive
#5 Stay left !
#6 Stay right water on the left.
#9 Lay up water in front.
#10 same as #9
#11 need a low 2nd shot to the green Tree trouble in front.
GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN!!!!
Well worth the money!!!!
I played this course for the first time and I must say a definite upgrade from its sister course. Course layout was good, holes challenging but scoreable, and overall in very good shape. The one issue is that there is water through the whole course and no markers for distance to the water. It was a guessing game for the entire round. I'm not complaining. I paid $15 to play this course and would have paid more of I new what it had in store.
