Macoby Run Golf Course

They should rename it to Macoby Crawl. The pace of play is ridiculously slow. They allow singles and back to back twosomes rather than pairing up groups. And there are no rangers to keep pace of play. And if you can't break 100 you should not be playing this course!

Great course, always in great condition from tee to green. Played this course at least 50+ times and drove over an hr away... it's that good. Great people, family owned. Good food and a cool bar area. Great layout.

It is a very hilly course, not very tight though or long. Would recommend

Pace of play would have been improved if the four middle aged men were better golfers or had waved us through. This seems to be a common problem at many courses this year. This foursome was particularly bad.

The greens and fairways are excellent and the rough is healthy. However, I caught some lies close to a couple of greens that I should have declared ground under repair. So shame on me but a one star deduction.

The staff was great. Particularly the lady covering the bar and dinning room.

The course is a challenge due to elevation changes, rough and some water. If you dislike bunkers, this is your course. There are two greens I would like to enlarge but than some one would want bunkers.

The range and practice green make up a good warm up area. The bar is neat and the dinning area clean and comfortable. The sandwiches were great and reasonably priced.

The course is very nice, great condition especially the greens. Lot of blind shots so being in a cart allowed for being able to check things out before hitting. We were a threesome following a foursome who took 5 hours to play, they seemed above average golfers but just couldn’t keep up the pace! The golf carts were adequate but struggled at times with the uphill portion of the course. Certainly a bargain for senior players and I would go back!

Course is in great shape. Pin placements on the sides of hills on some of the greens makes you wonder if the groundskeeper knows what a legal spot is and isn't. Went out late in the morning trying to avoid the rush. Unfortunately did not happen. Several holes had 3 groups waiting on the tee. Overall glad I came back and will come back again.

Nice course and mostly well maintained.

Short par 4s were tempted to take a risk for birdie.

Was fun to play and will return to play again!

Great course, great time had by all

I played this past Sunday with my wife. we teed off at 2:08. we were not paired with another 2 some. we has a wait of 5 to 10 minutes on almost every tee box. except for the 9th hole par 3 thecwait was closer to 20 minutes. there was 3 groups waiting on the tee box. same as we saw when we were on the 6th tee that is near the 8th tee box. too many groups on the course. no starter and nobody out on course to ensure pace of play was reasonable. we were lucky to finished before it got too dark.
