Best value in the Harrisburg.
My favorite Harrisburg course. Staff very friendly and course is well maintained.
Great Value
Greens were super fast and a Great Value in the golf world
I would play again if traveling to Harrisburg-Hershey area
One of the Best Local Courses
I try to play Dauphin Highlands at least once a year. It's one of my favorite in my local area. The course was, and usually is in good condition.
It has huge greens that are usually fast. Be careful not to be above the hole on some pin locations or you will pay. I had two 3 foot birdie putts that I missed and finish at least 6 feet away for par, even after barely touching the ball on the putts.
Two of the guys I was with played the black tees. At over 7,100 yards, I plays very long for almost all amateurs from there.
I walked this course once and will never do it again as the greens to the next tee is long and the course is hilly.
Very good condition; great layout.
Dauphin has always been one of my favorite public courses. Not TOO penal if you stray a bit on most holes; greens are super; DO NOT BE ABOVE THE HOLE!!! Will be back several times yet this year.
green speed terrific
pace of play miserable...5 hours. instead of trying to make as much $ as possible why not do 10 minute tee time spacing. could use a second marshall. take one your club cleaning guys and make a marshall.
Staff and Course were Excellent
My foursome had a great experience at Dauphin Highlands. Arrived at the course and were immediately greeted in the parking lot by a bag attendant that gave us directions to what level of the club house to enter. Everyone in the pro shop was courteous and shared about promotions they had up coming. Practice area was super with multiple tee areas and four different greens as targets. Starter was super about explaining the yardage markers and pin placements. The course was in phenomenal condition, with some of the best greens I have putted on at a municipal course. Conditions and staff made this a Country Club type experience and we will be back as it was worth the hour plus drive!!!
Course is in great shape!
New management is obviously turning things around. You can tell the difference at Dauphin Highlands now from years past.
Greens are in pretty good shape, fairways are lush and well-maintained, bunkers could use some work but are still MUCH better than area courses.
Great course to play
This was a great course to play. We played on a hot day and they had water out on every other hole. The course was in great shape and the greens were pristine and fast. The only issue we encountered were the bunkers being pretty hard. Would be nice to hit out of some raked sand. This course is very open and forgiving for guys inaccurate off the tees. The staff were friendly and clubhouse food was reasonably priced. I will enjoy playing this course more often. Thank you for the great day of golf!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything from the starter, to the course in is pristine condition. The green roll true and not super fast. The tee box's are level and flat which I love personally. This is seriously one of the best course's I have played in the area. For the price, you just can't be it here. This is a MUST PLAY for any true golf enthusiast. I played this course two years ago and was turned off by the quality, they are under new management and now it is the way it is suppose to be. PERFECT!
course plays fair and is in ideal condition for ball striking
All is good for this course with the exception of no marshall to keep tabs on slow play
Great Course but very slow play.
Very, Very slow Play no marshal to keep play moving, I wouldn't play again unless I have to entire day available to play golf.
Fun course to play for all levels.
The starter at the course was great. He was personable and knew how to work with the customer. The food area could use a little attention to the customer. There was one gal and she went to the back to prepare some food for another customer. All I wanted was a drink and it took way too long. Overall a positive experience.
Greens in better condition this year
Course is well-maintained and the greens on the back nine have been nurtured back to the way they should be. Greens were true, but faster than remembered. Wind came up during back nine and slowed pace. Added clubs to last 3 holes - especially 17. Remains a favorite.
This course has some great layout
Most of the bunkers have rocks or pebbles in them. Try to avoid them if possible. On 16 the green has some damage. Everything else was in great shape
Great deal
Even though it had rained all morning, the course was in great condition.
Fantastic
What a quality visit. The starter was a super nice guy, the course layout is one of the best in the area, the greens were AWESOME and the pace was right at 4 hours. If golf was like this everytime, I'de play more thats for sure. 100% happy
Great course
Course is well maintained, staff was friendly. When we out, fellow golfers were courteous and kept up with the pace of play.
PGA TOURNAMENT SHOULD BE PLAYED IN THIS COURSE ANYTIME..
THE PAR THREES ARE AND ALL PAR FIVES ARE NOT EASY AT ALL. ALL OTHER PAR FOURS ARE SUPPER CHALLANGING.
THE LANDSCAPE AND ECOSYSTEM ARE EXCELLENT COMPARED TO OTHER COURSES IN SOUTH PA. I ALSO LIVE 5 MINUTES FROM THE DH GOLF COURSE. .
Great layout!
Doesn't have a lot of risk/reward holes, but no gimmicky holes either. So just a great layout and very enjoyable to play.
nice mature setting
Nice, challenging holes in a setting with mature trees and some water holes. A few picturesque holes, greens were semi fast the day I played. 10/24/2012
