my new favorite
The course is well laid out with many challenging holes. The conditions are good though the greens were slow the day we played.
one of the toughest courses in the area
If you haven't played Jeffersonville since the improvements a few years ago, its a must play for the excellent golfer. Look at the slope from the back tees of 136 and its all you want. Despite the 6400 yds, remember its a par 70.
The greens are undulating, fast and make the short game the real test. There is some elevation change and plenty of doglegs. The maintenance crew is doing a super job on fairways and greens.
Even the short holes can bring on a double bogey real fast due to the rough and slick greens. To score well, you have to play here a few times to know the places to miss.
The first hole is an extremely tough and long dogleg left par 4 that once was a par 5. Make a par there and you have a chance to score on the next 3 short holes if you are accurate with the wedges.
The par 4 13th and 17th holes are the other real hard holes that require a strong tee shot and long approach.
This is a real strong test of golf for the good player and I highly recommend this course for quality and value.
Great quality course
Course is in great condition. The greens are very challenging, but overall a fun course to play. Highly recommend and not a bad price.
Needs work !
This was a nice course , I enjoyed the layout but it needs some improvements , cart path were very rough and some of the fairways were beat up , but i would recommend it !
Pace of play was a bit slow, because people are playing from the wrong tees. If you’re playing from the back tees, please hit the driver at least 225+ yards. Greens are in good conditions, but not the tee boxes and some of the fairway. Overall, I’d come back as long as it’s around $50.
Staff is friendly. Tee boxes could be better, but it’s a muni course, so not much to expect. Greens are in excellent conditions. Pace of play is slow. Lots of players who think they can hit from Gold.
THEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
Course is always in great shape. But the course is ran by grumpy old men !
Course will not let you ride in a cart alone. Must ride with strangers
I've played Jeffersonville several times this year.
Great Donald Ross track that's only getting better as they make improvements. Usually walk. Heat index close to 100 today, so decided to take advantage of the cart included with my Golfnow fee. Wanted to pay extra to ride alone due to the pandemic. The course absolutely would not let me ride alone in any way. Said something about it being a township rule. Meanwhile more than a dozen carts were sitting at the ready and could have been used for my 1:50 tee time. The staff did not handle things in a very professional manner. It seems that there is very little regard for customer service in the times of covid. I encountered a similar experience at Pilgrim's Oak where they would not let anyone ride alone...even if you're willing to pay whatever the extra fee would be. So don't play at these courses expecting to ride alone if you're social distancing from people. What the average ill informed person doesn't understand is that you can still transmit the virus even if you're vaccinated. Look it up. Educate yourselves. Stay safe and hit em long!
Diabolical greens and pin placements
I survived another Donald Ross course with borderline unfair greens with crazy pun positions. ball should not roll back past where originally putted from ! bunkers in great shape. I doubt I will be back!
