Under construction but fun
The course was under construction and we were having issues with following the locations of holes.
Fantastic course — esp for the price
Very happy to see the improvements they’ve made in the last few years. Course is in amazing shape… Especially for a public course! They’re currently doing some construction on the clubhouse and so they’ve had to do some rerouting, which makes it slightly wonky, but they haven’t changed the holes at all and I appreciate that. They also took down some trees that has really opened up things a little bit and some key places.
Bravo to the staff that brought about these changes!
Wait a year and try again
Unfortunately the course is under major renovations along with the club house… should be awesome next year!
Many of the holes were changed due to the renovations so it was very confusing to follow and there are NO tees for women or seniors?!?! Lastly, a huge thunderstorm storm came blowing thru and they never blew a warning horn!! Thankfully we were finishing up and not way out on the course!
Under construction, but still in great shape
This course offers an affordable price for a very well maintained course. Not a very long course but strategically placed bunkers along with some pro level greens make it a challenge to keep scores low.
There is some major construction going on, a new building for the pro shop and whatever else they are planning along with a new course route and a few changes to some holes make it somewhat difficult to navigate at the moment. I am told it won’t be done till fall. Also, I was unaware of a jr. tournament going on earlier in the day I went which held up play for the balance of the day. Took about 4 1/2 hours to complete with waiting for nearly every shot
Under construction
This is my first round. The parking lot is temporary dirt and gravel. Nice pro shop in a small house. Portapotties for bathrooms.. The course has been rerouted for some reason. This created problems with my GPS. The carts do not have wind shields. Four hours and fourty five minutes is a little long. OK now for the good stuff. The playing conditions were way above average. There was even sand in the bunkers and rakes. Most golfers even used the rakes. The greens were fast and difficult to read. Bring your A game because this is a challenging course. Once the construction is completed, this will be one of the best courses in the area.
Under repair
It's still a mess.
But the threesome I was grouped with was epic.
Iggys brother ,frank, worriors ball.
Bay area faithful.
Tough greens. Routing a little confusing
First time playing this Donald Ross course. Lived up to the hype stylistically. Getting in the wrong place on or around the greens can be deadly. Construction has made the routing a little muddled and confusing. Excellent use of elevation changes. Will definitely look to play it again, but will need to bring a much better short game to have any chance to score well.
