Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

Nice course for the money
Course was very nice for the cost. The only complaint I would have is that we got stuck behind a very slow group of three that would have easily made it a 5 hour round. We skipped a hole to get in front of them and finished in decent timing. I did not see any ranger to correct the slow group.
Great Course
The course was great and easy to navigate even though it was my first time playing there. I played the round by myself on a morning after a lot of rain. So the course was a little wet but other than that the course was in good shape.
Expected more for the going price
Not in very good condition for the rack rate. The fairways were not in great shape, some tee boxes also and the rough was very high for the level of player at this course. There were multiple comments in our group about price versus quality for that price. Plenty of other tracks in this area that are a better value for the money.
The new bar area looked nice and the staff was friendly.
Fun fun fun
The course was in great shape and me and my son had fun ,fun , fun.
Great value
Very fun course. Greens were in excellent shape, making shorter par 4's and 5's much more difficult. Would love to go back and play another round.
Super condition
The gold course was in great condition for this time of the year. On a whim since it was sunny, my son and I wanted to go pay 18. We found a $10 Hot Deal with a cart. The fairways were in good shape and the greens were excellent. We finished the round in 3 1/2 hours but really took our time. It was a wonderful sunny pre-winter round.
I enjoyed this course as it was the perfect yardage for me and the cost was within reason. The greens were in good shape (fast).
Good layout, nice staff and affordable , we would defiantly play there again .
Nice Greens
Greens were quick and challenging. Fairways were nice and healthy. Rough was okay and a good length. Some tee boxes were dead crabgrass and some were in great shape. Overall a good round for the price. Not enough water on the course and the pace of play was agonizing. Although I was in a twosome on a Saturday so I guess I can't complain too much.
Worth 8 bucks
Used golfnow rewards and cost 8 bucks on a sartirdatmy.. hard to beat. Course ok but needs some grass cutting.. addume wet weather orevented it.
good job
it is fun course fair priced, good greens
A Favorite
This is one of my favorite courses to play around my area. The course is challenging, and the grounds are kept well above average.
The pro-shop & bar are great for a quick check-in & a drink to go off with.
Straight Forward Golf in Southeastern Pennsylvania
The majority of par 4s on this course are straightforward holes, 350-450 yards with one bunker off the fairway and one closer to the green. The course is a great place to play if you're in the process of developing your game, or don't want to have to work to hard to strategize your play. The course was in good condition and had, again, straightforward greens. Everyone I came into contact with, staff and other players, were friendly, and other players were mindful of pace of play. Sprinklers did go off on me as I was shooting a birdie putt on 17, but it was 94 degrees outside, so it was kind of refreshing.
Good course and improving
Owner's doing a nice job of improving a good course.
weekend round
Pace was quick for a weekend round but the conditions left something to be desired.
Country Course
This is a fairly easy layout. It was in rough condition with many areas burnt out. Staff is very friendly and a good value during the week.
Disorganized staff and Slow Play
There wasn't a starter which created a disorganized start for our round. The pace of play was nearly 5 hours. There wasn't staff to move play along. The course is in poor shape. I would not return to play again nor recommend it for others. There also was limited water for golfers on a hot day.
Nothing special but a great place to learn
This is one of those courses that you go back to because it pads your stats. Very easy straight forward. It's the perfect place to get out of a slump and focus on your fundamentals. With that said it's a little boring l. The greens are not very very challenging other than the fact that they are not rolled so the chance of getting a one putt is very low. I've seen putts break uphill. The biggest problem is not the course management it's the people that play here. No one repairs there divets on or off the green (or knows that's a thing). I have to credit the grounds keeper as I played here one day after the course had been empty for two days... the turf was amazing the bunkers were raked the tee box cut and even the greens completely restored. If you golf here respect the course! Repair your divets and this course will completely change for the better.
VEry nice golf course
Friendly and helpful staff, interesting and challenging layout. Felt very welcome.
Don't play in the afternoon on a weekday
It's a good thing I got a deal to play for $10. Like every single round here, I got to the tee at my tee time and had to wait. A father-son 2-some ahead of us had no concern for taking too long and didn't let us play through. The kid was a beginner, which is totally fine, but you can't be lining up for a minute and hitting every single shot. Beginner or not, you shouldn't be taking 10 shots every hole. We past 2 kids at the 3rd tee box around 13 years old who told us to play through because they were waiting for friends. They ended up meeting with 4 other kids and played as a group of 6, hitting balls all over the place, running around and yelling. We played several holes with them treating the course like a playground right next to our tee or green. The ranger was driving around and had to have seen this going on. We arrive at the 10th tee to find 3 4-somes from a league ready to start. Not only did they not let us through, we got stuck behind 1 group, but then went on joking around and laughing as we tee'd off. The ranger was standing right there. When we mentioned the 2-some ahead being too slow he acknowledged he knew about it. As for the course, the tee boxes are uneven and some have turf like a thick welcome mat. The fairways are good. The greens are in good condition aside from the numerous unrepaired pitch marks.
