Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

Good little course
Greens were in fantastic shape. Course is a very good value, some tricky holes. The bar is awesome! Food is good.
Course was in good shape.
Comfortable pace. Friendly and courteous staff. I will lay there again.
nice course
this was 2nd or 3rd time playing this course. I enjoy playing here. Winter golf conditions so it is what it is. It is well kept in season. Will definitely be back. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed your day! Looking forward to having you back out during the season.
chilly windy round

Better Then I Remembered
I was impressed that the corse conditions were good since the last time I played here. Tee boxes were in good shape, staff is great, course layout is pretty easy. Greens were lightening fast. I would definitely play here again. New Bar looks great
the course isn't the issue
i've played kimberton a lot. it's really a decent course, usually in pretty decent condition. and for $10 (including cart), it's almost a no-brainer.
almost.
i have never seen a ranger, nor have i ever seen a starter. which means you could have a foursome, single, single, double, foursome, single all tee off the first with no one sorting that out.
and because there's no ranger, people tend to jump around as they feel like. the front 9 went at a decent, 2-hour pace, but when i made the turn there was a foursome waiting at the tee and one that had just tee'd off. i could also see a group on the next tee who was waiting for a group in the fairway who was in turn waiting for a group hitting on to the green.
yikes. seems like more than 1 group had started off of #10.
so my playing partner and i did the only reasonable thing - we went and played the front 9 again.
if you can get there at a time when the course isn't busy, it's great. but sometimes you can find yourself behind a sixsome (i'm not kidding) or a group of novice players who stop in the middle of the fairway for a friendly discussion (they were nice, by the way, but i still had to go around them).
Worth playing for a discounted price
I wouldn't pay anywhere close to full price to play here, but for a Golf now discount, it's worth the time. I will say the greens were very challenging!
Pleased
I was happy with the pace of play even though there was a lot of people golfing. Good course for someone like me who doesn't golf all the time.
The course is great for the average player.
Great greens
The greens were rolling at moderate pace and in good condition. Fairways were good. Hole #3 is challenging with right dogleg and pond to carry in front of green. The pace of play was good.
Enjoyable course to play for all types of players.
Slow Play due to Outing
Had a 1:08 PM tee time and the fee was $13.00 when I arrived, they had just started a 2-Man Tournament. It was so slow, i only played 9 Greens had been aerated, leaves were not removed from greens, and the cart paths are ancient.
