Kimberton Golf Club

About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

My Best Score to Date
The course was in very good condition. The greens were tricky to figure out / challenging. I am still new at this. I enjoyed the wide openness. Not a lot of water hazards. I live 20 minutes away and will play here more often.
Laid back atmosphere
Got there early and was allowed to go out as a single. Spent a lot of time practicing around greens. Very relaxing day.. some big frogs in ponds..
We made the cut
Dancing between predicted rains we finished a nice casual round with minimal waiting despite the foursome of younger guys who consistently scatttered the drives to all quadrants of adjacent fairways. Kimberton is very accommodating and course is in very good condition. Bunkers were raked, t boxes grassed, and greens were quick. Some portions of the cart trail are a little rough but this course remains among my wife’s favorite and we shall return several times. And besides, the wings are very good and the beers is cold.
Good course for the money
Nice layout and challenging greens , enjoyed the round and the wind was fun to navigate.
Very Slow Play
Let me start by saying course is in good condition and greens are fast and in great shape! With that said there was a group that held up the whole course with 4 open holes in front of them. At one point there was 4 groups on a par three, we waited 20 minutes to tee off. 3 hours to play the front nine, we tried to gut it out but wound up retiring after 14 holes as we waited again on hole 14 for 20 minutes. Staff tried to help but could not get the foursome to play any faster as they had to stand an watch everyone's shots on every hole. Very painful round of golf.
Heritage Hills Golf Experience Package

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and let us know of the situation that arose during your round. Pace of play is one of the areas we have strove to improve year over year. With the influx of new golfers it certainly can be challenging at times. Glad to hear my staff tried to remedy the situation. In the future we will ask that they deal more directly with slow groups as it can have a cascading effect to all the groups behind them. I hope you'll consider coming out again, and perhaps we can improve your next review of us! Thanks again for playing, and for bringing this to our attention
