Middletown Country Club
About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

Slow pace
Course in great shape. Placed behind two groups of old men slowed down our pace. Great course but hard to get an even lie.
Fast round
Played 18 in 3 1/2 hours, lots of bare spots in fairway grass - end of season - the greens are in good shape, still fast, and most still run toward the railroad.
not a pushover
While this is a short course it isn't a pushover. It is old style being over 100 years old. Even as only 11 of the original holes remain, detail has been attentive to try and match renovated and new holes to the original Alex Findlay layout. I couldn't rate pace fairly because we happened to show up and follow a PGA sanctioned junior outing. It could have moved better and we had to sit for at least 15 to 20 minutes in the fairway on 16 as one of the girls in front of us was having a very bad hole. Otherwise the course is in the best condition it has been in a long time fairway and green wise. Fairways were thin but they had just been punched recently. Township owned so budget isn't endless on things. Trees need to be thinned out and there are areas where trees need to be trimmed back.
MidWeek Golf Review
The course was in good condition. The greens ran true. Enjoyed the round
Greens were ok had been punched a couple weeks ago but the bunkers were horrible there was no sand in them. Very disappointed they don't have money to replenish the traps
Course Knowledge Critical
Course was in good shape and it is always fun to play here. Very hilly and knowing where to aim your ball is critical. A shot straight at the hole off the tee can run two fairways over due to slant. Continued improvement of course conditions over the past several years.
Too hilly and slanted!
It's a pretty course but be prepared for lots of hills and valleys with slanted fairways, uneven lies and large, undulating greens that are almost as tilted as the rest of the layout. There are several par 4's longer than 400 yards but only 1 par 5. Many good shots wind up in trouble, which is certainly frustrating!
Nice day
Course is nice, tees are a bit chewed up, greens were just punched so putting was tough. Pleasant people in shop fairways are in good shape, carts are clean and work well.
Not worth the money
Nice course, with a good layout but the conditions were so so. Greens weren't the best and fairways had a lot of dead spots. Also this place is way over priced. Not worth the money I would go to Mountain view golf club if you are going to spend the money.
Always a winner
Middletown is always a winner.
Staff is laid back and accomodating.
Good day, Good round
5 HOUR ROUND
I like this course but the pace of play is ridiculously slow. We teed off at 9am and finished at 2pm. I didn't see any rangers moving groups along. The course conditions were decent and the greens were nice but not worth the frustration of waiting on every single shot. I saw a fivesome out in front of us. Who allows that? Paid $50 on GolfNow. Not worth it.
SLOW PLAY
SLOW PLAY AND THEY COULD USE SOME PORTA-POTTIES OUT THERE
Good Day
The course was in great shape and the staff very friendly bu tthe pace of play was very slow.
