Middletown Country Club
About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

Challenging course at a great price
Narrow, very hilly challenging course. We played on a windy, cold day. The grass was just starting to grow in for the season so the fairways and rough were spotty. Greens very challenging!
Poor course
Course was in bad shape and way over priced for what it was.
A round of golf at Middletown
It was probably one of the coldest days of the year to play golf. The course was in overall fair condition but finding a ball even when it in the fairways was difficult. I happened to lose 5 on this date. I do plan to return on a day in the future to play another round and hopefully score better.
Very enjoyable
Late November and 60 degrees; what could be better. Course was practically empty and in great shape.
Great golf
The course is great, the layout is fantastic and it will help beginners love to golf
Greens were in beautiful shape but much faster than I am used to. Staff has done a magnificent job keeping the fallen leaves out of play and were actively continuing to do so during play. Course was nearly empty when I played so I played alone and at my own pace. Several very scenic holes. Very enjoyable experience
Beautiful gem
Course was in beautiful condition regardless of the weather. We just came of severe thunderstorms and had hard winds the day I played. The course was still in great shape and the greens just forget about probably one of the most challenging ive played in the area by far.
long and hilly
fun course, nice lay out, weather was nice. There is work going on at some areas, but not a problem.
Slow pace
Course in great shape. Placed behind two groups of old men slowed down our pace. Great course but hard to get an even lie.
Fast round
Played 18 in 3 1/2 hours, lots of bare spots in fairway grass - end of season - the greens are in good shape, still fast, and most still run toward the railroad.
not a pushover
While this is a short course it isn't a pushover. It is old style being over 100 years old. Even as only 11 of the original holes remain, detail has been attentive to try and match renovated and new holes to the original Alex Findlay layout. I couldn't rate pace fairly because we happened to show up and follow a PGA sanctioned junior outing. It could have moved better and we had to sit for at least 15 to 20 minutes in the fairway on 16 as one of the girls in front of us was having a very bad hole. Otherwise the course is in the best condition it has been in a long time fairway and green wise. Fairways were thin but they had just been punched recently. Township owned so budget isn't endless on things. Trees need to be thinned out and there are areas where trees need to be trimmed back.
MidWeek Golf Review
The course was in good condition. The greens ran true. Enjoyed the round
Greens were ok had been punched a couple weeks ago but the bunkers were horrible there was no sand in them. Very disappointed they don't have money to replenish the traps
Course Knowledge Critical
Course was in good shape and it is always fun to play here. Very hilly and knowing where to aim your ball is critical. A shot straight at the hole off the tee can run two fairways over due to slant. Continued improvement of course conditions over the past several years.
