Middletown Country Club
About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

6th hole - par 3 Photo submitted by sixeagles on 11/19/2015
quiet fall afternoon
I have played this course maybe 4 times this past late summer and fall and each time out it has become more enjoyable as the crowds thin and the leaves fall. The course does not play very long but can be very challenging with many side hill and uphill lies even when you tee shot finds the fairway. My neighbor and i teed it up at noon and were finished at 3:30 without rushing. If only every round could be like this.
Great Course
First time playing this course. It's late fall so that's my expectations for any course. Greens, fairways, tee boxes and cart paths were in good condition. Got a great price on golfnow for the round. Nice easy sunday afternoon. Aim left all day!!!!
Good course for the price
I recommend this course needs some work but for the price not bad! Had a great time
Deceptively long
Par 69 course with only one par 5, but plays longer than you would expect with 6 par 4s near or over 400 yes. Interesting layout. Tricky greens
course is dry but we are in a heat wave.
Course is fun, Many of the front nine play to the right important to keep it left.
Greens were is fair to poor shape. Course is dry. In defense of that the area has had little to no rain in month or so. Heat wave still in progress and its Sept.
Challenge for the money. Could be in better shape.
Sahara desert
90* day in August and NO Water on the course !!??!!
One drizzling water fountain at the Halfway house.
Fore!
Tee boxes are set too close to preceeding greens. Golfers from behind nearly hit us every time! Some really difficult holes. Sand traps need new sand, the sand in there is too compact and is hard as concrete.
Good value and challenging course
Nice course with challenging greens. If you don't put your approach in the correct area it can make for tough put. Some greens in poor shape and fairways not quite to what I have seen in the past. Overall a nice round of golf
Course conditions
I chose the course looking for something in my area as a secondary option. I approached the course from the Main Street and saw the length of the fairway grass and immediately knew it was a mistake and thought to leave. I figured why not play anyway for the price and see if it was delusion, unfortunately not. There is no part of this course that is cared for, not even the customers. The fairways are long and unkept as was the rest of the course. Playing a 5.5 hour round as there was a wait on every hole, I should have left and went to Makefield. Bottom line is you never know what you are going to get so if this helps the next guy, please think again! 12.5 handicap and a weekend golfer!
terrible day
l golf 3-4 rounds per week at courses within 1 hour of my house and have probably played nearly 100 courses. Middletown is one of the poorest maintained and poorly run places l have ever played. We had a 9:21 tee time and there were 3 groups at the 1st tee box at our time. The rangers drove around for no reason, what can they do when the place is overbooked? The fairways and tee boxes were so covered with crabgrass it was embarassing. As for the greens, there wasnt one green that was entirely green, between the bare spots and completely worn spots there were also greens that had areas patched with sand mix. Sand mix on green? Really. Scratch this place off your list. A waste of time and money.
This course is interesting and has some challenging holes

Nice hidden gem
A little hard to find, but overall very nicely maintained. Enough challenges to get to the fairways. Greens in very good shape. I would definitely enjoy playing this course again.
Course was fantastic
the course was beautiful and picturesqueI would highly recommend this course and I will be back to play it again
A non-fairway drive was hard to locate ball
The cut off the fairway was a little long. Even balls right off the fairway were hard to see.
Time delay
This round took 5 hrs to complete. We waited on almost every hole to tee hole, some holes had a couple of groups waiting to tee off. Ranger was out, but not enforcing the group that was slowing everybody down.
My biggest complaint regarding the course is the terrible sand traps that have. It is like chipping out of cat litter, seriously. Fairways were well maintained as were the greens with the exception of 3 or 4 greens.
Most greens were good a few bad ones
It's a nice course to play . Some very nice holes. Some greens were a little rough.
Nice overall
Tees. Fairways. Traps layout all nice. Greens a little patchy and rough
Middletown Country Club
Tee boxes and fairways were in good condition. The rough was a little thick, difficult to find your ball unless you were almost on top of it. Greens were sad, bare spots and very bumpy. They needed to be cut and rolled. Bunkers really didn't have much sand. It was more like kitty litter.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Old style courses have tee boxes right near the greens.
