About
Linfield National Golf Club is a public course that is one of the area's best values. Formerly known as Sycamore Ridge, the course changed ownership in addition to its name. Since those two major changes, the course boasts better conditions and a renovated clubhouse. The layout has a classic links design that incorporates traditional elements including water, trees, and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The up-and-down of the golf course is one of the most challenging elements of the layout. The course is tight with a few adjacent fairways but this configuration also allows for a bit of extra room for recovery shots. Some of the holes at Linfield National Golf Club are quite narrow but it is still possible to hit the green in regulation. Though the course is only 6,164 yards, the rolling terrain will make it seem much longer.

Okay Course..
Course felt short. A lot of par 3's. Navy fairways had severe brown and large dried up dirt to play off of, like a hard-pan. The greens were cut well, but very soft. Many ball marks and golfers just don't repair then here

Great round- Last minute
Picked up an 1140 for twosome, paired up. We started right in time, played pretty much wide open the entire round in -4hrs. Course condition was fine. I play here a few times a year. The course layout offers a lot of challenge and interesting holes. Food and drinks at the turn and a round at the club bar after, nice staff.

Carpenter Bees
I've played here a few times in May on a Friday afternoon and the course was in good shape and was a solid value for the money. On July 31, there seems to be a carpenter bee infestation on the course. A few of the tee boxes had many bees flying around and several of the greens had 10-20 small holes , with tiny mounds of sand created by the large but fairly harmless bees. There were also many holes in the sand traps. Normally they burrow into wood, but they obviously love the sand. Course in good condition other than that. Traps had water/mud from a storm the night before.

Wow price, and worth the trip for much more
Linfield is a pretty track and usually - including this round - in decent shape. The greens were a bit slow for my taste but they rolled true so I am not complaining. And this round was awesome in that there weren’t many golfers on the course; my only real concern is if/when it gets packed there are a couple holes next to each other where balls can fly by unexpectedly. Regardless, the GolfNow price was impossible to pass up.

6+ Hour Rounds and Rude Staff
The course maintains no staff or Marshalls. The limited staff they do have is rude. The course is maintained during peak hours so you'll have grounds crew mowing in the middle of your fairway. Every round played is 6+ hours because of slow players and no Marshalls.
Horrible course, avoid at all costs.
