About
Linfield National Golf Club is a public course that is one of the area's best values. Formerly known as Sycamore Ridge, the course changed ownership in addition to its name. Since those two major changes, the course boasts better conditions and a renovated clubhouse. The layout has a classic links design that incorporates traditional elements including water, trees, and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The up-and-down of the golf course is one of the most challenging elements of the layout. The course is tight with a few adjacent fairways but this configuration also allows for a bit of extra room for recovery shots. Some of the holes at Linfield National Golf Club are quite narrow but it is still possible to hit the green in regulation. Though the course is only 6,164 yards, the rolling terrain will make it seem much longer.

Nice condition
I was not expecting much after snow melt a few days before. The fairways were pretty good, greens were faster than normal, the only complain I have is all bunkers in need of more and better sand.

Great value and staff
There are a lot of turns and doglegs at LN.. course management is critical to playing well here. If you just want to kill the ball it might not be your best option but if you take the time to consider your shot it’s a great place to learn how to approach the game.

Don’t go here
Don’t waste your time and don’t go here. I have a membership here and I will never go back. Pace of play is horrible with no starter or ranger, call the clubhouse about it and they never come out. No range so you can’t warm up, if you have an early tee time pack a breakfast because the snack bar won’t open until you’re back at home after your round. Staff friendliness is next to zero except for the head pro. Anyone else but him you’d think is angry you’re there. Just tried to call to schedule a tee time with 2 of my friends but the “excellent” staff cut me off 3 times before I could ask my question, told him Nevermind and then my friends cancelled theirs.

Excellent condition for mid-November
Was blown away by the condition of the course. After a week of soaking rain, beside a few wet areas the course was in excellent shape. Layout is a little tight around a few of the doglegs. Pace of play was not so great. A ranger or starter could probably solve this issue. But overall an excellent value for a good course with a neat layout.

Course is good, greens are in great shape, layout is short but challenging. No range to warm upon, they run out of food on a regular basis at the club house. Play can be slow at times 4.5 hours plus.

Could be a great course
Played here for the first time with a 1:50 pm tee off time and the first 5 holes were wide open. After the 6th hole, we were stopped, and with what seemed like 4 or 5 foursomes ahead of us and there were literally 3 groups waiting to tee off on each hole. We didn't even get past hole 10 bc it was so backed up. If they sent out a ranger and kept the pace of play this could be avoided but there was no ranger anywhere in sight. The course greens were nice and green but the grass was long and the greens were not rolled which made them extremely slow. If there is an opening at any courses around that you know have better ratings I would suggest going there first. A few minor details and this course could be great, oh, and one minor detail, not sure how safe it is to play that close to the nuclear plant bc it is literally right next to some holes!

The check in guy wasn’t very nice, kind of a bad attitude towards us because we bought a hot deal tee time. Green was in good condition but was very slow worse.
