Amazing greens!!
We had an awesome day out on this course, fun to play and perfect weather. It’s peaceful and quiet, beautiful views. Everyone is friendly here and the caddy shack for food and drinks afterwards was very good. Service was great. Pro shop was nice we bought some nice shirts on sale before going home for the day. I would highly recommend Armitage for your next round, we’re planning to come back again Monday!!
Course was again
Always well maintained and staff is great. Only gave average to off course amenities because I did not use them.
Good course for the price
Greens were fast due to fall aeration. Tight fairways making you hit true shots
Very slow round
Played as a threesome behind a foursome waiting on every shot behind the worst two golfers I have ever seen. Will mere go back. And now I remember why I haven’t played there in 5 or 6 years. They desperately need a ranger.
Great Course
Great course well kept and excellent food at the caddy shack. Only bummer is you’re likely to get paired with someone if it’s just you or a double. Fairways aren’t as wide as Mayapple or Cumberland but still easy to find a stray ball. Overall not too hard or easy makes for a good time.
Aeration Advice
Yes, the pro shop guy was correct; "you should call ahead and ask about aeration". My bad! Their bad, however, when aeration isn't done well. Unfilled holes on the greens and leftover pieces of the plugs are not something you'd expect, much less hear about during a pre-round call. And, only one nine was open. Fortunately my GN credits lowered our investment to a "nine hole" rate. Most definitely, do the aeration. But do it right!
