The Inn At Pocono Manor - East Course
About
The Inn at Pocono Manor offers two championship golf courses, conveniently located less than two hours from New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. Surrounded by the beauty of the Poconos, the inn has earned a spot on the National Registry of Historic Places. George Fazio designed the West Course, and the East Course was Donald Ross' creation. The East Course, the original layout, has hosted a number of legendary players, including Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead, since 1912. Ross carefully sculpted the mountainous landscape to create a course that is both challenging and memorable. It is shorter and tighter than the other course but they are equal in level of difficulty. The golf course is defined by the interesting water hazards that come into play on several holes, but the scenic views are also a draw.

Nice, but could be better
We liked the over all feel of this very Traditional course. The par 3 third needs major rebuild. We heard they water at night( service company) why we saw creeks , drainage problem areas… water is available just needs to be harnessed. Yes we cost, but you did ask.
Cart Path
Terrible cart path . Some areas are so bad my wife hurt her back on the rough. Cart path. Need to spend some mo Rt and make repairs. Will not recommend this course because of the terrible path
Great price for the course
Going in end of April, so conditions were not the best. Went last year in august and conditions were immaculate

Challenging, hilly course. Hard, fast greens that could use aeration. Played 18 in a little over 3 hours! Great price!!!
Merciless greens
Second round of the year, so still some rust to shake off obviously, but the greens were lightning quick despite rain the day prior. The signature 7th hole is a unique challenge, play this course whenever you’re in the area.
Great Course Choice in the Pocconos
My wife and I played 18 and we were pleased with the experience. We're bogey golfers and the course offered plenty of challenges. It's an older course with very few bunkers or water, but the trees and mountains make it absolutely gorgeous. The fairways were excellent, but the greens were really hard and somewhat bumpy. There are very few sand bunkers on this course, but there are a lot of grass bunkers/hills that are strategically placed to create challenges. The pro-shop was very friendly as was the cafe staff. There is a driving range which is perfect for a quick warm up. We were paired with a couple of folks from New Jersey and we had a lot of great conversation. There were a few five somes on the course which is probably my biggest complaint, but the pace of play was adequate. We will definitely play this course again.
