About
Opened in 1923, Reading Country Club is one of the area's oldest golf courses. Located less than a half hour from King of Prussia, the course is easily accessible from anywhere in the greater Berks County area. Though it has a traditional layout that doesn't have the length that most modern courses do, that hasn't stopped it from being one of the most challenging public golf courses in Berks County. The rolling terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course will test you with lightning fast, undulating greens that are protected by sand traps and there is punishing rough bordering the narrow, tree-lined fairways. Be prepared for uphill shots and blind approaches throughout the golf course. Reading Country Club's par 3s are especially notable for their difficulty.

thinking mans course
not typical grip and rip course. plenty of doglegs anf elevation changes make you think before hitting. nicest greens i have played this year. first time and shot four over... which will improve after knowing the little tricks. ill be back for sure
Clubhouse is a picture in its self
beautiful course nice layout greens in great shape fast I drove one hour forty five minutes worth it.

Welcome Change
First time playing and my wife and I were joined by a twosome who had played many times. As the description suggests this is not your typical bomb the driver course. Sloped fairways and interesting hazards will challenge all levels to position and achieve GIR. Fast greens despite two days of rain. Tee boxes could use some work and fairway bunkers really need some attention Welcoming pro shop and starter. Overall a very nice course and good value. I will return.
Holiday bad move
we play RCC often but made the mistake of playing on a Holiday.......too many 1st timers or 1x a year players.....course was nice as always and employees ge8.......pace of play put me off my game,,,,,,,,all in all a nice day with my wife on a nice course............will be back

Challenging course
While the course is very challenging it can also be forgiving at times , lots of hill , hazards , and bunkers but they can play to your advantage too.
Phenomenal value
This course offers a tremendous value. Will you find world class conditions? No, but you will find solid conditions paired with a great classic layout.
The previous reviewer is a moron. This is a classic layout that requires you strategically move yourself around the course. The greens are always in good shape and roll true. The rough and bunkers could use some work, but in general this is one of my favorite courses in the area. Highly recommend!
Wouldn’t recommend to friends
I live in montco county and play everywhere, decided to take a little drive out of my way to play a different course, boy was that a mistake. Layout is horrible, you hit a fairway and you’re hitting on some sort of angle half the time, course is short and conditions are sub par for this time of year. if you live next to this place and everywhere else is booked, then yeah, play it, if not, go somewhere else
