Chapel Hill Golf Course in Reading enjoys a scenic backdrop of mature forests. The tucked away locale provides a peacefully secluded setting that is ideal for a round of golf. While it may not seem like a long layout at just under 6,150 yards, you'll soon forget about any lack of length once you get on the golf course. From the very first hole you're confronted with a water hazard, a stream that weaves around five other holes. The layout forces you to think through each hole, making the tough decision between going for it or laying up. Accurate shot placement is crucial throughout the golf course, especially on the back nine where there are several tricky doglegs and tough uneven lies. Mature trees tightly line the fairways at Chapel Hill Golf Course, and the greens are framed with strategically placed bunkers.

I liked this course.
There are some very sloped greens, which made putting difficult, but fun.There is water and some narrow fairways. The cart paths are horrible, but overall an enjoyable round

Good course for the price
Cart path very rough, fairways decent, considering the time of year leaves weren’t bad greens pretty quick

Good test of golf
Played 2 weeks agao the course was rough and wett greens were painfully slow . But played 10/18 and totally different story the green were cut and firm and alot of fun vourse was in great fall shape

Meh
Reasonably priced, Mom and Pop kind of place, but you get what you pay for. Cart paths dangerously poor condition, carts old and in poor shape. Layout a mixture of mundane and unorthodox holes, with some long par 3s, and a few weirdly designed holes. Philadelphia If it was in great condition and amenities were better, it might be fun to play once. But my one experience was enough for me.

Beautifully confusing course
This was my first time playing this course and if i was alone i would be very confused. The layout from hole to hole doesnt make a bunch of sense but it does take you on a journey with beautiful holes and scenery. I was lucky enough to pair up with a regular there who showed me the way around the course and all the tricks to each hole. It is definitely a course that you need to/should be methodical about shots but if you want to just go in driver blazing you can certainly do that too but you might get hurt with the water and hazards. The fairways and greens were in fantastic shape, rough wasnt even that bad minus the couple of spots that were a bit mushy/muddy. Bunkers were in great shape. My biggest complaint is that the cart paths were not in the greatest of shape which is a shame because the course has a 90* cart path rule, but at the same time most cart paths aren't in great shape but these were some of the worst i have seen. When i find a course i like i tend to play it over and over until i bore myself with it and this course can definitely be added to that rotation for me.

Underrated course
Cart paths are bad but the course is phenomenal. I didn’t rate the course on the former but rather the latter. Considering the pace of play, green/tee box condition, and price, five stars.

Great Sunday of golf
Played Sunday @ 11 am. Course had golfers but pac e of play was great. Course , especially greens were in great shape.

Great designed course,
Not a smash driver, wedge, putt course! Course management is key to shooting low. Bring extra balls or buy some at the pro shop. You’ll need extra. One of my top three GN deals. Enjoy

Unforgiving course
You better know your yardage is on your clubs. This isn’t a smash driver and wedge in type of course. You have to be able to play golf. Know your Misses. The hazards will eat your balls!

Great course
My home course. Great for anyone to play. Good condition all around on the playing areas. Cart paths could use some help but they are passable.
