Chapel Hill Golf Course in Reading enjoys a scenic backdrop of mature forests. The tucked away locale provides a peacefully secluded setting that is ideal for a round of golf. While it may not seem like a long layout at just under 6,150 yards, you'll soon forget about any lack of length once you get on the golf course. From the very first hole you're confronted with a water hazard, a stream that weaves around five other holes. The layout forces you to think through each hole, making the tough decision between going for it or laying up. Accurate shot placement is crucial throughout the golf course, especially on the back nine where there are several tricky doglegs and tough uneven lies. Mature trees tightly line the fairways at Chapel Hill Golf Course, and the greens are framed with strategically placed bunkers.

Fun course, 19th hole closed at 6:30?
I love the course and play there often. Greens are nice but the fairways and especially the tee boxes need help. After finishing my personal best round, we found the 19th hole closed at 6:30. There were many on the course yet and nearly an hour of daylight remaining. What is up with that? I had to spend my money on food and drinks somewhere else.
Great golf course but
Ok so this was a really nice course. I really enjoyed it the first few times I went. But the last time I was their I was almost forced to pair up with another group.I really hate the fact that for most of these golf courses anymore it’s not about the experience anymore.It’s all about how many people you can push through and how fast.I literally had to argue with them and tell them that I refused to pair up with people I don’t know. It’s just uncomfortable and takes away from the experience.I paid to play with the group I came with and I have several other courses that don’t give a problem.but this was one of my favorites for years it’s a shame that the turned into one of those places don’t plan on returning

Great shape
I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions. It's been a few years but last time I played here in late summer there were lots of dead grass spots on greens and fairways. Green were very fast but consistent

Great Course
We loved the course. Challenging enough but not too difficult. The course was extremely well maintained even through the lack of rain in the area. Will definitely play again.

Fun, Well Kept Track
Found Chapel Hill when I was on vacation with the family. The staff was super friendly. The course was in great condition. I enjoyed the layout. A mix between some wide open holes with well placed hazards and tight fare ways where accuracy off the tee is premium. If I am in the area again I will definitely be back.

cart paths need work
For the last 10 years they have not invested in improving the cart paths. It is very hard navigating the pot holes etc.
Some of the sand traps need to be replenished. It did not seemed to be well maintained.

Meh
Greens are typically pretty well kept! Layout is a little goofy, forced to hit some irons off the tee unless you only hit driver 200. This is a relatively easy course other than that. A few tight holes and some tricky-ish greens.
It’s not that expensive nor should it be.
Great event space and always fun to play tournaments here.
Golf course is what it is, I’ve played here at least 20 times and will continue to come since I live 6 minutes away, it’s not great but the pace is usually good.
