Chapel Hill Golf Course in Reading enjoys a scenic backdrop of mature forests. The tucked away locale provides a peacefully secluded setting that is ideal for a round of golf. While it may not seem like a long layout at just under 6,150 yards, you'll soon forget about any lack of length once you get on the golf course. From the very first hole you're confronted with a water hazard, a stream that weaves around five other holes. The layout forces you to think through each hole, making the tough decision between going for it or laying up. Accurate shot placement is crucial throughout the golf course, especially on the back nine where there are several tricky doglegs and tough uneven lies. Mature trees tightly line the fairways at Chapel Hill Golf Course, and the greens are framed with strategically placed bunkers.

Bumpy Ride
A nice layout in a natural setting. The greens were in very good condition, the fairways are ok but not great.. The tee boxes were in very poor shape. The biggest distractions however were the cart paths. On a scale of 1 to 5 I’d give them a -8. They are full of ruts and holes are broken up in many places creating an extremely bumpy ride. With the increase in price of greens fees, the golfers deserve to have some of that money put back into the cart paths.

Great Course
Great course layout, conditions were miraculous in February. Maybe some cart paths should be repaved.

A rough ride
The layout of the course is interesting and fun to play. The greens are always in good condition. The fairways are fair. The big problem is the cart pass. They are extremely rough and bumpy and I have friends who will not join me at Chapel Hill because of that.

Quite a few parts of Drive road are in poor condition, should be repaired

Greens being worked on and dreadfully need
The greens were like rock. No bite at all and putts would roll backwards on slopes. We have had plenty of rain so not the problem.

Course was packed today so the pace was excruciatingly slow. Course still recovering from hurricane Ida. It was a beautiful day to be out on the course
