Spring Hollow Golf Course

The deal was too good to pass up, and I’m glad we played on a BEAUTIFUL afternoon in mid August.

Course Is in good shape. Greens are mostly flat, but are quick right now. Plenty of grass on fairways and tees. The bunkers need attention right now from recent rain. The 1 I got into today Had sand and I was able to get out it. I noticed today that the course is shorter then posted. 6,000 from tips is misleading. My GPS was telling me a lot of blue tees were 25-40 yards shorter. The posted on the card. I looked behind me often to check for another tee box, but was already as far back as possible.

It was busy today. We didn’t get a cart till 5 minutes before a tee time just after 12 noon. We did our share Of waiting here and there, but came in at 4 hrs, so no problem with pace.

A little odd, but, holes 11 and 12 are par 3s, 13 and 14 are par 5s. No complaints for the deal I got, but would pay $30-$45 I’ll return.

It was brutally hot, but the play was pretty quick. Plenty of shady spots to park the cart. They were repairing a bridge after tree damage, but otherwise course was in good shape. Lots of ball marks on greens would be my only complaint

If nothing else, this C-19 pandemic allows me to enjoy time at the course with my 26 yo son who would normally be in Hoboken, NJ. Very hot and humid but great course conditions. Staff was great and pro was even driving around offering encouragement and tips to the golfers. Really? Got our attention and much appreciated. Have played before and will play again.

Played here for the first time. The course was in great shape and my only complaint is that the bunkers were hard and some were filled with water. Regardless it is a beautiful course.

Well, here we go...played with 3 cool 30ish chaps, who each had there own shining moment in their 1st time playing this fun course. They were amazed in the fact that the course conditions were perfect despite 4" of rain on the day before, and the carts were free to go wherever which shows how well this course drains. I was their guide and helped advise on greens and how to play the tough holes which they much appreciated. Unfortunately they had a few too many beers by the back nine and it affected there overall scores as they lost several balls. Anyway, I overheard them say that they would be coming back as they were really impressed with the quality this course offers. One final note, some bunch of stiffs playing on other holes repeatedly sliced balls so far off and DID NOT YELL FORE which led to one of our guys and my cart getting struck. Danger Zone resolved, as the culprits provided some beers as an apology which our foursome gladly accepted.
