Don't let the course length fool you
What this course lacks in length is made up for in hills and rough. Today the rough was thick. If you miss the fairway, even by a couple yards, you may have difficulty finding you ball or getting a good lie. Also, don't forget to figure in the hills when choosing clubs. Sometimes a 1 or 2 club adjustment is necessary.
Nice weather + friendly staff + good conditions + interesting layout = good times!
Overall a fun round.
Interesting layout
Very hilly design with some quaint holes greens are very fast and the rough quite demanding, it's necessary to find fairway if you want to score
Nice course
This was the first time playing this course. Our tee time was 10 minutes after a shotgun start golf outing which we didn't know about until we got there. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. It was a 4 1/2 hour round . The holes are in good shape and challenging without going overboard.
Nice course layout, some challenging holes, greens fast and sloped
This is the first time I played Spring Hollow. It is an older course but well maintained. The challenge level overall was good with some holes being very challenging. There are a number of dog legs ans some water on the back nine.
It was an enjoyable course to play.
Inconsistent
Greens on front were very furry, then picked up on the back. Pace was SLOW. I was solo, played 3 balls and kept up with group ahead. Foursome of men 2 groups ahead wouldn't let anyone through.
Pro shop staff standoffish, bar staff (Sara) very nice.
Stay out of the rough! I learned the hard way!
Grassy Knoll
The rough was so overgrown it really destroyed the game. So hard to make any shots out of the rough so dont expect to put up a good round if you rely on scrambling some
Very challenging
Nice course . Next time I'll play back to the white tees . The upfront tees are good but I like to hit from the more challenging distance
Good Friday Good Golf
first time out this season, course was in very good shape. Greens a bit on the slow side. Pace was great until #13 then we were backed up 5 groups on 1 tee box. Always a good value
Fun Layout
This course is fun and challenging to play. Have to play the in the right areas to get a good 2nd shot. Only thing about the course is the yardage markers are not accurate, i use my GPS watch and Lazer and it's a good bit of a difference. I play 5-6 times a week and this course is always a good challenge . Greens are always excellent shape to go along with great fairways and tee boxes.
First time. Will be back
Played on a windy day after overnight rains. Course was cartpath only and some out of the way areas were pretty wet. For $25 to ride a course in this good of shape was a steal. Course is pretty short which is good because I'm dealing with some driver issues at the moment and only hit 3w or 5w off the tees. Good start to the season with an 80. Will be back with my old man when it warms up some more
Daley play
A great course for daily play affordable with enough challenge to get your game ready for and keeps it going all season.
iPersonal guide to first time playing
Arrived to play as a single for first time. Met a member that was going out at same time. Ken was a great guide for a first time player. Will play Spring Hollow again.
Spring hollow in winter season
What can I say . This is my go to course which is close to home . Course is in good condition for winter time.
