Interesting architecture with diabolical greens
The course layout is very unique and I found that challenging but in a good way. The greens on the other hand have seen better days with at least one or two showing some type of disease. But even on the greens that were in better shape you could easily see putts that appeared to be dying near the hole turn into 12 foot putts down an incline or break you didn't see beforehand. That being said, it is definitely worth playing if you never have.
GREENS ARE ROUGH
Been playing this tillinghast layout for 30 years it is truly a classic layout and generally a good test of golf . But yesterday I was so disappointed. It was a disgrace to pay full price for a course with greens that are completely diseased it was like putting on moon craters. They have put alot of money into certain areas of the course which it does need. But the greens are the trade mark of this track and there focus is mis guided. Please fix your greens and cause at this point I'd pass paying full price to play greens is such poor conditions.
Galen Hall - nice place but….
They need better signage. More cart paths and better yard markings. Overall, a cool golf course. Fun layout. Challenging despite not being long. If you don’t like small or fast greens, this place is not for you.
Was definitely concerned because of the reviews I had read, but outside of about 3 greens that weren’t in the greatest shape, because golfers aren’t repairing their ball marks, and some chewed up tee boxes, the course was in great shape!!! The staff was friendly!!! And I had a great time playing it.
A Hidden Gem!
It is clear that many of these holes were designed by the great A.W. Tillinghast, Galen Hall is well worth the price, and I especially love that the tee times start early.
Not a great design
This course is difficult to find your way around and no signs to point you in the right direction. The cart paths are very rough. Hole 7 was under repair and they don’t have signs to tell you how to skip it and get to #8. Not only should there be a notice for this, they shouldn’t be charging full price either. There are 2 holes that cross a roadway without you even knowing it. Do not recommend and will not return.

Good value course
Good value for money. Play was a little slow. Need to play it a few times to really understand the course. Especially the front 9.
Super fun and challenging course
What a fun little course!! Although short in length it packed a punch with small/tricky greens. Course was in great shape, fairways were great as well as the greens. Definitely some unique holes that were interesting to say the least. Par 3’s were all very tricky yet fun and score able. I will definitely be back!!.
Pretty Course
Great views of the valley. Awesome snack shop at the turn. Quite Hilly but fun. Greens were awesome.
Sand traps
Worst sand traps around. They say it’s pga grade sand. No course in America has sand that is this bad.

Cold, windy. mid-march day course was very well. kept, bunker's well-groomed.
