Golfer Reviews
Pleasant Ride - Not Spoiled
Honey Run is not the easiest course to find but you owe it to yourself to seek it out. Very solid, classic design - no trickery. Course conditions were excellent - esp considering the severe rain they had earilier in the week.
The food / beverage is a little limited but prices are very good.
In great shape, but players need to take care of the course
Honey Run is a little gem in York that is always great to play. The layout and the quality of the course are what makes the course worthwhile for the money. However, I just wish the people playing the course would take care of it while playing. The tee boxes and fairways were ripped apart without being filled with seed, and every putt I had had at least two ball marks that either weren’t fixed or were improperly fixed. If the other players took care of the course, this would be such a great place to play.
Great value and in good condition
The course is in good condition in April and is very challenging. Will play again when visiting York. The pace is good and groups let me play thru. Green is slow because of recent aretion. Should be much faster in a few weeks. Sand traps are in good shape.
Good Course
It had rained heavily four days before we played and there were still quite a few wet fairways.
Consistent
Honey Run is always in good shape. Even with cart path only after all the rain, the course drained pretty well and bunkers and greens were fine.
Recommended play any time of year.
79 degrees and fun at Honey Run
Honey Run is a fine course to play. We were very lucky with the weather as it was partly cloudy and high 70’s. Indian summer and we will take it. Course in good shape. Recently punched greens were pretty well healed. Pace of play was not fault of course. There was a 2-some in front of our 4 some that thought admiring their shots was more important than making a good shot. Slowest 2 some i ever played behind.
