I live nearby so I might be a bit biased. This course has been a favorite for many years. It has been consistent with a friendly staff and usually not too slow pace of play. Highly recommend playing here for the layout and the challenge..
A Good Early Season Round
Honey Run was in pretty good shape for early March. It was a bit soggy, and was cart path only for the full course. The greens were understandably a little unpredictable which was no surprise for this early.
Other than wetness, fairways and rough were very playable.
The clubhouse improvement instituted by Jaworsky Golf are attractive but the menu seemed much the same as before - sandwiches and snacks.
Tee boxes were not yet ready for the season so teeing off was a bit uneven. This will certainly straighten out once spring maintenance can be done.
Nice course, Crappy players
The course itself is nice and challenging, the staff is great and all. The biggest problem is the people who play here, I will never go on a weekend again. If you like drunk old men that act like children this is the course for you! Critiquing other golfers swing (when most of them can’t even make solid contact with the ball), making fun of the way people dress (cause we all know wearing the pro v1 hat improves our gameplay). Bottom line is, if your a competitive player or just want to get some quality practice don’t go on the weekend when it’s busy.

Great afternoon of golfing.
I really enjoyed the course. The only downside was I could only play The Back nine twice since the front nine was being aerated.
I really like the clubhouse bar area and the pro shop is very nice too.
