Green Valley Country Club

I love playing this course. It is always in great shape , staff is great and restaurant is amazing.

Drove out because it was listed at $30 to walk and the tee sheet was wide open. Well, I was charged $35 and the course was completely packed. Stuck behind a group that picked up my ball at one point and kept it. Finally made it to the 10th tee and a foursome decided they would squeeze on to the back in front of me. Too annoyed to protest, I headed straight for the parking lot.

The course itself was in good shape for the early season, particularly the greens. I can't speak to the back nine. Probably an enjoyable track, but not worth the free-for-all.

One of the few courses where the staff is always trying to give you the best deal.

Been playing Green Valley over 20 years, not playing this year (wife and I, are retired). We usually have no less than 3 players, 80% of the time 4 players. We average 4 to 5X a month (mid May-Sept)or 16-20 per summer. We all spend our summers in Middletown RI, making Green Valley first choice for convience and good course condition. Our group age range 55 to 80, with younger family members learning the game. The green fee of $85 is ridiculous. Previous years the rate with cart was reasonable (approximately $55). Why such a jump in price? Tired of covid reasons..

Spend our summer in Middletown for the last 20 years always played your course at least 10x a summer. We have a group of 4, 2 seniors and 2 regulars. Can’t afford the $85 a round, Driving further to play same quality courses for a reasonable fee. Talk to others that feel the same and are avoiding your course. Need to restructure your rates.. miss playing there but good luck .

Played here in Sept 2021 with my husband and it was a nice course, challenging enough for us, he is a seasoned golfer and I’m relatively newer golfer. This course was a good selection for us. My husband noted it was a bit flat. Limited selection of ladies wear in the pro shop, which is somewhat common and hope more courses pick up the ladies selection this year!

We had to wait 25 minutes to get off after our confirmed t time. After that everything went well.

We come to Newport twice a year one in June then again in November. We always make sure we play here. This week we played twice, and both times the play was very slow. Not sure what the problem was but I think they need to get. Ranger on the course to speed up slow play. Other than that it was in great shape

Conditions could not be better but cranky old man in pro shop is in need of an attitude repair.. Totally opposite from awesome cart girl who was very pleasant and just generally nice. The course itself was great, nice layout and challenging, greens were fast and true. Turkey club at the turn was delicious. Price a bit steep for November but Will definitely be back regardless.

Green Valley is one of the finest golf courses around!!

Beautiful course with majestic views. Green were forgiving. Well maintained. Semi challenging but it's more of a course that you enjoy than anything else.

Next time I'm in Newport, definitely will try again.
