Wonderful course for all levels
I played the front 9 w my brother in law and 13 year old son…They’re hackers, and I’m mediocre- but can get around most courses.
The gentleman in the pro shop was friendly and professional- we look a little longer than expected and came back after the shop closed. Hopefully we didn’t keep him too long- but many many thanks to him!!! We were on vacation from upstate NY and golfing w my son was the highlight for sure. Highly recommend for an easy going round!
Easy booking thru Golfnow like always!
Course is fine, staff is rude
Do not expect to have a good time at this course, little grass outside of the greens, smallest practice green can maybe accommodate 3 people at a time. Was warned they may not have enough carts for our grouping. Strongly enforced no coolers rule with only a single beverage cart that we saw twice during our round. I’ve played here 4 or 5 times, in my head I’m always excited to play it and every time I’m disappointed. This last time was the final time I’ll be playing there.

Course very dry
Alot of brown grass in fairways but greens were in good shape.

Westerly golf course
The course needs a lot of work. Conditions on some holes were very bad Catt paths were bad as well. Heard they are planning on doing a lot of work so would try again. When completed

I was told when I checked in that this course was sold recently and being updated and it appears they are working very hard to do this!!
I only played 9 holes and it was easy to walk! I hope others give this course a chance!

1922 Classic
100 year old Donald Ross classic rolling through the hills in Westerly down to the salt marsh. Not lush but still plays the way it was built in 1922. Worth the trip for glimpse back in time.

First Timer
Solid course for the price. Some renovations being done on the course, but it played well and the staff in the spot shop were friendly. Definitely plan on coming back.

Below standard
Pace was 5 hours due to no ranger pushing the bad golfers hitting 3-4 balls a hole. Course was in dis-repair on many holes. Fairways were overgrown. Greens were bumpy and needed to be cut. At $50 with cart, not worth the bad clientele or long round. I played this course many times, and have never seen it this bad. I won’t be back.

What a waste of space and time
Don't know how they stay in business. I'm a 3 times a week golfer. This place is like playing on dirt until you get to the greens. The greens are about as ok as it gets. The layout is the most appealing part of this course. The gentleman (and I use that term very loosely)at the pro shop was nothing but nasty and condescending because his view was that golfnow wasn't paying the course enough. Which he made very clear over and over. And my cart broke down twice. Which should have been obvious because of the other carts everywhere else...saw at least three sitting around the course broken down. My final thoughts on this course? It should be shut down. The people are nasty and the course was very lackluster. There was not one thing about this course that could be considered nice. Anyone that says different is either being paid to say it or is only going for drinks and food. Both of which I cannot speak about because if a GOLF COURSE cannot take care of the course imagine how the food is taken care of...If you waste tour money here good luck. Better off right down the road at Fenner hill which was an actual golf course.
