good round
i like the layout but the traps need more sand and the greens have some issues.overall a nice course with friendly staff.
Needs some work
Played the front and back nines. Fairways could have used a little more grass. Greens were very sloped, which makes it tough for first timers. Play moved well until a foursome slowed things down. Talked to the manager, and he let us play the back nine instead of the middle, so we could keep moving. Played in about 3.5 hours, even with a little hold up on the front nine. Flags on greens do not indicate their position on the green, which made it difficult, especially on holes that were uphill and you could not see the green.
Great staff and great coarse.
From the front manager to the lady that cooked our lunch everyone here was really nice. The coarse was in great shape. Me and my father enjoyed all 18 holes.- Trey and Bob Carter
Nice country course
Over all had a great time. Weather was a little warm. I was surprised there were not water holes on the course. However, I found out there was free iced water bottles at the club house! It's definitely an experience to be revisited. We played only 25 holes of the 27 since two were under reconstruction. Can't wait till they get done. Take it for a spin. You'll enjoy it.
Old course not well maintained
When I checked in, happened that the owner was checking people. Though the course was open, would not let us go early, and seemed bothered that we asked. Even though I talked with the owner before my round that it was my first time, did not know until after round that there was no water on the course and they had bottled water if you asked.. Course not well maintained and greens had a lot of bad areas on them. Bunkers were mostly hard packed. I would not recommend this course.
Rolling Greens:good!
course has great potiential, were working on 2 greens of the 27 holes\not a problem: in a very good setting:
Course is fun but challenging
Fairways were decent, greens are in pretty good shape. Good course for the money.
Under Rated Course - Great Fun - Great Value
Title says it all. This is a good course that is going to be a great course. There is lots of renovation going on, complete with adding another 9 holes to make it a 27 hole course. The hospitality was excellent, the guy at the pro shop could not have been nicer. Gave us a couple of cold bottles of water, explained the course lay out and we were on our way. It was a little slow at first, but the other golfers were very courteous. This is not Augusta by any means, but it is a nice country course with great management.
Great Value
Not much to the front layout, ondulating fairways and greens. The back are a complete different story. Very interesting. Good condition overall.
Too many fivesomes
2 fivesomes back to back made play miserable
Great place when on a budget
Friendly Staff , nice course. I like playing this course the pace is great.
greens and tee boxes bare as a baby's butt....
First off the the course is in down right terrible condition. The golf cart fleet needs to be upgraded. (They are really old)The greens have bare spots with dirt /sand on several of them. Also several of the tee boxes were just down right bad ,not a stitch of grass on them. Some fairways were good others had bare/thin spots. There were several places where trees had been cut down and pushed to the sides of the fairways. Pace of play was good for the first 3 holes and then got held up with several 4 somes that would not let us play through (there was only 2 of us). I will never go back, even if it was free to go. I wish I could get my $28 dollars back and the 4 1/2 hours of my life I spent at this so called golf course. Extremely disappointed is an understatement.I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of Rolling Green.
Good bang for your buck
Friendly and helpful staff. A good course for the money. The only negative was 2-3 greens were in ok shape. Fairways were in good shape. A good course for a beginner to intermediate golfer. It would be helpful to have a layout of the holes on the score card or on the hole markers at the tee boxes. As first timers we were a little uncertain on green locations on some of the holes.
Had a GREAT time
This place is a bit of a hidden gem. The course isn't immaculate, but it's well maintained and you can tell the staff take pride in it. Jeff at the front desk welcomed us like old friends despite our never having been there before. While the layout is relatively easy, the greens are tough, deceptive, and guarded by a lot of well-placed bunkers. An awesome value overall; if you're ever in the area do yourself a favor and check it out.
Ok course design but poorly maintained
I went to this golf course because it had 27 holes but I was only able to play 18 due because I had to replay holes due to lawnmowers interruptions on my first 5 holes. No course map was provided, no hole diagram to let you know how the holes were shaped, and no hole diagram at the tee either. i tried to get over all of these little things but most of the greens were in poor shape and just made the whole experience a waste of my time and money.
Great course for price, worth a 40 minutes drive for us
We enjoyed our 18 holes of golf so much we stayed and played another 9. Friendly, helpful staff. Course in good shape. A few greens were a bit rough but not enough to deter us from going back.
Rude golfers on course
Was being slowed up in front by 2 groups of 4, I was playing alone. The guys behind me were very rude talking bad about how I was hitting and how slow the people in front were, I would have let them but they wouldn't have been able to go anywhere. I didn't even play my last 6 holes because I didn't want to have to deal with the guys behind me. My fiancee was riding with me and she even kept saying stuff about how out of line the guys behind us were.
Worst golf course I have played
Tee boxes are not level, fairways not cut, greens in awful shape, and it's bad when you lose a ball in the fairway because the grass is to high. It's like playing a a cow pasture that has been bush hogged
Need to redo greens
It is a 27 hole course. Instead of playing two nines, we skipped nine holes throughout the entire 27. This was because they had us skip the worst nine greens throughout the course. The greens we played were actually in pretty decent shape. A couple looked bad but played well. We did have to skip one of my favorite holes. They need to get rid of the bent and put some new greens in. They also use the clay looking sand in the bunkers, which makes the firmness of the sand a little less predictable. Great staff there, so that helps a lot.
Worst course I have played in a long time
The fairways were not too bad, but half of the greens were dead or dying. Many areas washed out and not repaired. I will never play there again
