Middle/Back at Rolling Green Golf Club

Getting to this golf course was very challenging since the bridge as out of commission and the road was closed! I was forced to navigate an alternate route which made me 30 minutes late for my tee time.

The gentleman in the Pro shop was able to get me off with no problem. It was the Friday going into Labor Day weekend and there was never anyone behind me on the back nine.

The putting surface was IMMACULATE! Cart paths need to be re-constructed as they what was the only real negative part of the course. Getting a layout or booklet on the course would have been helpful to have especailly on the back nine with two Par 5 holes when there was no information on the distance on driving the ball and when to layup!

The work done in this course over the past year is remarkable and the course is for the most part in great condition and unbeatable value!

Wouldn’t pay $20 to play 18 here. Tee boxes are a joke and the cart path was rougher than the forest beside it. Lots of uneven ground and holes everywhere. Sand areas were red clay areas. Would not recommend. Will not be going back.

This course in the past was far FAR better condition than it is now. Fairways are maybe 1/2 covered with grass. Tee boxes are not much better. Carts have some age to them and I was warned about your golf bag coming loose. 20 or so years ago this course was unbelievably much better than it is today. Course needs some care extremely soon to be playable. Sorry for the review but this is what I saw. Sad to see this course drop like this.

Greens are in good shape - little slow but good shape. The rest of the course needs immediate and extensive care. From the tee box - fairways and bunkers are in really bad BAD shape. My friend used to be a member here for many years. He was with me and left really sad at what this course is now. I remember it being much better than what it is now. Not even close. I sure would like to see it change direction and get back to respectability. Good luck with that.

The course is really a shell of its former self. The layout is not bad, but at least 5 of 27 holes are currently closed. There is significant erosion in multiple fairways and on one green.

The erosion in the bunkers make them unplayable. Most are like playing off of the cart path. They are hard, red clay.

The greens were impossibly slow. Just get up there and hit it hard.

There are times where if it weren’t for the flags you’d have no idea you were on a golf course.

Club house has to be at least 50 years old and lacks any charm.

Course conditions are terrible. From bare clay in the fairways, to rock hard bunkers, to many generally unkempt areas. Cart paths will reset whatever heartbeat you have left after this course sucks the soul out of you.

This is the worst golf course I have ever played on.

First time playing this course. Was disappointed with the condition of the course. Cart path is very rough, Watch your clubs! Back nine was closed due to a tournament on going. Hole 7 was closed, new green just placed. Most greens were in decent shape. Short course. Tee boxes were rough. Cheap price to play, shouldn’t expect too much from this course.

Don’t think they own a lawn mower or weed eater. Starts with an overgrown entrance to a club house that hasn’t been updated since the 90s. 2 holes are completely closed and there was no prior notice when booking on their website. Tee boxes are sand and fairways are dirt. The greens are covered with random sod patches. Found multiple trash cans full from the weekend and no water coolers anywhere. Dandelions lined what grass did exist. This course has potential but it’s obvious the owners are just getting by with the bare minimum.

I’m not a great golfer, bad actually, b ur I have fun and this course was fun. Had an 8am tee time and didn’t see anybody else on the course besides a group of guys teeing off when I finished on 18. Was able to take my time and enjoy the morning. Great value and friendly staff. Will def play again there.

I went to rolling green for the first time in years. The course was absolutely terrible. Like worst than what I can explain but what really was bad is the fact that the cart that hasnt been maintained allowed my bag and clubs fall out of the back going to the second hole. The worst part is I just dropped $1200 on new irons and a hybrid and 2 irons and my hybrid got scratched badly due to this happening. (Yes it fell in the terrible cart path) I spoke to the owner who didn’t say sorry, didn’t seem concerned and offered me a free round or 12 pack of golf balls lol my opinion is if your equipment causes damage to someone personal property you make it right. I will never ever go back to this horrendous course again. You’d be better off going to a cow pasture and playing there. Oh and let’s not forget to mention that hole 7 didn’t have a green, it was just a completely tore up area with dirt piles around it. To say I’m disappointed and upset is an understatement. Allen the owner should be ashamed of not feeling responsible for the accident occurring. See picture for why the bag fell due to the strap not being able to hold it in because the clamp backing is cracked. I do not support businesses that don’t take responsibility for things happening on their behave, nor should anyone else. I hope this place shuts down.
