Wildwood Green Golf Course
About
Wildwood Green Golf Club in northern Raleigh was designed with players of all skill levels in mind, Opened in 1986, the classic layout underwent a major renovation 10 years later that made it into a challenging but playable test that welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned pros. Generous landing areas offer some room for error off of the tee and the greens are large and inviting. There are still plenty of trees and sand traps to keep the layout interesting though. Accuracy and careful pin placement are also required to handle Wildwood Green's subtle elevation changes. The golf course finishes with one of its most difficult holes. This par 4 is a slight dogleg right with Carolina pines bordering the right edge as well as a bunker to the left. The approach is an uphill, blind shot to a deep and undulated green.

Save your money
I’ve played here many times before and let me tell you this will be the last time I will play at wildwood green. The course rates are way too expensive for what you actually get out of it. The course is never in that great of shape only nice part about the course are the greens. This goes for both the winter and the summer seasons. They have some staff members that work there that are very rude and seem to not want to be there. The pace of play at wildwood green is by far one of the slowest in raleigh. Please take my advice and save your money, their are other courses in the area that are cheaper and better quality. Doesn’t really make sense for how expensive the rates are and they still put little effort or care into there course.
Good Day at Wildwood
Course was in decent shape, greens very fast. My biggest complaint is the lack of care over the ball washers, most dry. Otherwise, it is a good course with enough challenge.
10.6.19
The course layout is fun and the greens are actually really nice. The pace of play is just absolutely atrocious. We left after 15 holes. Which was right at the four hour mark
Hidden Treasure
Played this course for first time, via Golf Now. As a member of nearby course, I don’t get the chance to play other courses much. With out of town buddies visiting, we played different courses!
We teed off at exactly 8am and finished at 12:02 but didn’t rush or feel pushed. They had a free yardage book to help guide us through the course, which was great.
The greens were smooth and quick....and true! Only suggestion would be to blow leaves off fairways but that just may be a temporary issue with this hot weather.
Club pro was very friendly and the food service was great. Prices were very reasonable and food was delicious.
They had a couple NCAA football games on while enjoying a beer as well!
All around, top notch course!! Kudos to the team at Wildwood Green. Keep up the great work
Played on a Tuesday at noon and played in 3.5 hours. We were a twosome . We started behind a foursome but after 7 holes ranger arranged for us to play through. Course in very good condition. The greens were quick and rolled true. You do need to hit ball straight as course fairly tight in places.
Yearly round
I usually play this course once a year and every time I leave wishing I played it more. Great value for the price, fair layout that rewards good course management shots and challenging greens with good undulations.
Greens are Fast
The course layout is great. You have to be very accurate though (don’t fly the greens). Beautiful course, but also very tight. I enjoyed my round, I will be back soon
Great local track
Wildwood greens golf course is a fantastic track. It has its share of challenging holes and also a couple that are fairly easy. The greens are in excellent shape and the Sand traps are well maintained. I would strongly recommend Wildwood if you are interested in a great and challenging round. Especially from the back tees
Nice course
Went with 2 first time golfers. Most everyone was noce about it
I would definitely go back in the near future
