About
Wildwood Green Golf Club in northern Raleigh was designed with players of all skill levels in mind, Opened in 1986, the classic layout underwent a major renovation 10 years later that made it into a challenging but playable test that welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned pros. Generous landing areas offer some room for error off of the tee and the greens are large and inviting. There are still plenty of trees and sand traps to keep the layout interesting though. Accuracy and careful pin placement are also required to handle Wildwood Green's subtle elevation changes. The golf course finishes with one of its most difficult holes. This par 4 is a slight dogleg right with Carolina pines bordering the right edge as well as a bunker to the left. The approach is an uphill, blind shot to a deep and undulated green.

Golfer Reviews
Beautiful course
This course was a pleasure to play! The greens had been aerated but other than greens it was great. The greens were still fast under arrayed conditions. Loved the course.
First Timer
Great course, my first time. Awesome layout, carved into the neighborhood challenging at some spots very scenic. Gave me a raincheck with no problem for the rest of my round due to City of Raleigh closing early. Thanks for the experience, may look into joining.
Decent course but too slow
This is a decent course but ranger did nothing to speed play.
Almost a 5 hr round. Lots of very slow players. Courses are crowded as it is one of only things we can do.
They should monitor speed of play to make it enjoyable.
Short course with challenging layout
Love Wildwood because it’s got a great layout and isn’t too long so anyone can enjoy it. They had just too dressed the green with sand which made putting difficult but still enjoyed the round. Go play it, have fun.
Gòod pre summer time!
Challenging but not impossible layout...greens lightning fast, so bring your gentle touch. Of course the fairways will benefit from warmer weather growth but overall a very enjoyable round. Course compensating nicely to COVID life
No Rain
The course drains very well. Good layout and you have to hit your ball in the right spot or you are in trouble. Greens were good. Overall for this time of year the course was in good shape.
Save your money
I’ve played here many times before and let me tell you this will be the last time I will play at wildwood green. The course rates are way too expensive for what you actually get out of it. The course is never in that great of shape only nice part about the course are the greens. This goes for both the winter and the summer seasons. They have some staff members that work there that are very rude and seem to not want to be there. The pace of play at wildwood green is by far one of the slowest in raleigh. Please take my advice and save your money, their are other courses in the area that are cheaper and better quality. Doesn’t really make sense for how expensive the rates are and they still put little effort or care into there course.
Good Day at Wildwood
Course was in decent shape, greens very fast. My biggest complaint is the lack of care over the ball washers, most dry. Otherwise, it is a good course with enough challenge.
