About
Wildwood Green Golf Club in northern Raleigh was designed with players of all skill levels in mind, Opened in 1986, the classic layout underwent a major renovation 10 years later that made it into a challenging but playable test that welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned pros. Generous landing areas offer some room for error off of the tee and the greens are large and inviting. There are still plenty of trees and sand traps to keep the layout interesting though. Accuracy and careful pin placement are also required to handle Wildwood Green's subtle elevation changes. The golf course finishes with one of its most difficult holes. This par 4 is a slight dogleg right with Carolina pines bordering the right edge as well as a bunker to the left. The approach is an uphill, blind shot to a deep and undulated green.

Golfer Reviews
Wildwood is looking good this Spring
Fairways are greening up and looking good. Greens rolling true. Great layout, and good pace of play!
Great track , some tee boxes are bad
I’ve played this course for over 10 years now. You can’t play a better course in the summer in city limits for the value. When June comes , this course will be in prime shape. Only complaint i have is some tee boxes ( holes 9, 13, 18 aren’t in the best shape) other than that you would be foolish to not play this course.
Good Green
Course was in pretty good shape given the recent bout of rain we've had. Greens were in very good shpe.
Staff Sucks
Assistant pro was rude. Staff looks like they could care less being there and it shows with the attitude and culture. They ran me off and due to the rude staff and JoCo Pro I won’t be coming back. Deuces...
Terrible
Cannot hit woods on the range. Course was a soppy mess( yes it’s been raining). Course seemed like it was smushed unto a housing development. Grass cuttings were all over the fairways. Greens were ok. Staff was indifferent. Pace of play was absolutely wretched. Ranger was out there and did nothing. Had to leave after a 3 hr 9 hole front(started around 8am). Pathetic all around. Practice facilities sucked, course sucked. No thanks.
Rude Staff
Let me start out by saying the course itself is nice. With that being said they’re trying to turn this course into a private country club and at its best it’s suited to be a local Muni The layout itself is fine but they try to stack everyone on the golf course and the round takes 5+ hours. Now being away from the wife that long is pleasant for 5 1/2 hours and with this rude staff reminds me of my wife. If the staff wasn’t so rude and unpleasant it would be different. A piece of advice lower the prices actually be friendly to your customers and for god sakes loosen up. It’s Golf it’s supposed to be fun
Solid course
Greens are hard and fast, but that's not a bad thing... every course will be different. They did roll true. I enjoyed the layout... played horribly...but still had fun.
Absolutely ridiculous
What course would book tee times when they have a tournament/outing? I was held back over an hour from my tee time and had to play along with a group of people involved in their outing. Pace of play was worst I ever dealt with. The ranger came along once and when I mentioned the slow pace and that I had couldn't be here all day, he said he would see what he could do, which was nothing. I had to leave without being able to play all the holes after close to 5 hours. (Left without playing 4 holes) The club house is a mess, bathrooms are filthy, I wouldn't eat food there if they paid me. "Sanitary" doesn't exist!
Winter golf conditions
Course is very wet, but so is every other course in the area with all the rain we've had. Greens are in decent shape and roll well. Lots of work on course by staff so should be in even better shape next spring.
Superb Greens
Country club quality greens at a reasonable price.
Slow play
The course is nice, some elevation change with mature trees and streams. Driving range is iron only which is a dissapointment, but the club house is nice. Pace of play was slow, too many walking 18 without keeping up. I don't play well when I wait on nearly every shot. They need a course marshall. A little over priced too, but it is near the city which I can understand.
Maybe a bad day?
Very slow pace. Ranger approached our group and informed us there was a group 4 ahead of us that was causing the problem. Isn't that his job to do something about it rather than just inform us? I may give this course a 2nd chance since is was a very nice course outside of the pace. But, there are so many other courses to play, it is not on my list right now.
Enjoyable round
Have not played here since they changed to Bermuda greens - was pleasantly surprised at the overall condition of the course and the pace-of-play.. Greens were great to putt on, fairways were lush. Staff was friendly and helpful. Course was packed - there were still people teeing off when I finished my round in late afternoon. Driving range not the biggest and best, but it serves its purpose. Some easier holes, and some really tough holes. Lots of elevation changes. Get out and play!!
