I played for $16 so can’t really complain. The carts are great. They have gps and blue tooth connection for your phone to play music through the speakers and the gps is very accurate (I compared the distance with my range finder). Course could be in better condition but for the price, it was fine. It’s a short course so you can use irons from the tee box for almost every hole. Would come back again.
Fun & Challenging Day @ Dogwood Hills
It started with a reasonable drive through scenic, canopied highways to find Dogwood Hills, giving you big clues that something special is ahead. As “flatland golfers” from Coastal LowCountry, we were stunned to see the elevations on tee boxes & greens — and challenged to adjust our shots. The course is scenic, the staff is super-accommodating. Add in good, timely food & service @ clubhouse turn ... life is good! A big bonus was the cordiality & hospitality from other patrons in dining room and other golfers out on the course.
Like many local courses, there’s some heavy rain and winter damage; greens have suffered the most, but there are clear indicators that repair efforts are underway. We’ll play again & bring some friends to share this little-known gem!
We loved the course and it was a beautiful day.
I would tell my friends to come there. Very friendly staff Zach was great. Thank you for a lovely day.
Great little 9 hole course
First time I have played this course, it’s not for long ball hitters but it’s a fun little course. Friendly staff, nice carts with GPS.
Nice little 9 hole muni
It was a nice little course. The people were super nice. I played when it was super cold because I had a day off and I was the only person on the course besides the greenskeepers. Never had a cart as nice as these for a round this price. It's rolls through/around a swamp so you can tell they have problems with moisture on some holes. Overall in pretty good shape. I've definitely played much worse courses for significantly more money. I'd come back for sure.
Dogwood Hills golf club
It was a rainy Sunday. Sun came out when we were as almost done the first round.
A few unexpected hazards, since this is in a swamp some areas that appeared as long grassy areas were in 6-10 inches of water.. One of our foursome had an eagle on a par 4. Fun day was had by all.
Not all open
golf course is doing some renovations. Have 3 of 9 holes closed. One of par 4's was made par 3 with not well marked temp tee box.. Played 1st 6 holes 3X. Had larger groups than 4. Pace was slow for number of golfers on just 6 holes.
Good little course, great value
This is a nice little 9 hole course you play twice for 18. Some of the greens are a little rough, grass on fairways has a lot of weeds. 8th hole a par 3 is closed for green replacement. It is a great value for the price and the staff is Great! Nice course to work on your game.
The Carts seal the deal
First of all I recommend playing 18 because somehow 18 holes is $19 dollars and 9 holes was $18. Anyway it’s a nice course and is fun to play. Avoid Playing after heavy rain due to the course literally being in a swamp. The carts are awesome though not sure where they got them from but they’re definitely the best carts in the SC low country outside of Charleston and HHI
Nice friendly course
This is a nice 9 hole course. Staff super nice. Would have been a great day if they hadn't had almost 2 inches of rain the night before. That was out of their control. I will return again when in S.C.
First time visiting. Great experience . Awesome staff. Food was great. Fast pace of play. Carts up to date and clean. COVID protected golf course. Recommend to all
Good value for practice
Can’t beat $10 for 18 including a cart. Overall this course has improved since the county took it over. Fairways are in pretty good shape. Greens need some help though. Several had large bald patches and didn’t roll well because of that. Overall considering cost, a great place to work on your game.
Get what you pay for
For the price, it wasn’t terrible. Grass wasn’t mowed for awhile, even in the fairways. For a holiday it was minimal play and the course has a fun layout.
Outstanding Golf Getaway
For the value this is an outstanding course! It’s a challenging 9 holes that test you. Perfect for first time golfers or friends that come into town who don’t have a lot of time that only have 3 hours. If you want to golf a full round just play it twice. You’ll want to golf the second hole again! GREAT COURSE FOR THE MONEY!
