Wonderful course. Great prices
This course is great. I didn't know what to think until i got out there and got on the first tee. The course is nicely maintained and you can tell that the staff want to get it to pristine condition. For the price I paid I was expecting a simple 9 hole easy course. I was mistaken. The course is somewhat challenging. Lots of elevation change. Accurate shots are a must of you want an easy putt or approach. i would recommend that anyone play this course. It is well worth your time and will require your effort.
Good elevation changes and difficult dog legs.
Only nine holes but when you play them twice they will challenge you. Good elevation changes and difficult dog legs. Watch out for the water the ninth hole.
GREAT GOLF COURSE
This is a awesome 9 hole course. I've played this course 4x and it never gets dull. I will definitely play this course again.
So do you want the truth about this course? Take a look at these two random pics taken on hole number 3 green. It tells the story.
First of all the man running the course. I think his name is John. To my understanding from asking several local member players on the day we went out that this guy has ZERO golf course management experience prior to his appointment to the course position. And it shows in how the course is run from the condition of the course to the pro shop layout and marketing of the course. His former position with the county was operations at the SPCA. Prior to that he was a deputy sheriff somewhere up north?
From the time you arrive you will be met with a sub standard professional level when it comes to the welcome to the course play. For instance the manager was in raggy shorts and a t-shirt the day we arrived. No scorecards/pencils on the carts and only two carts lined up for customers. We had to retrieve the other two ourselves. No offer whatsoever to get the carts for us. Several ladies in the group. We were tossed a key and said help yourself. Ok then. No one to assist loading bags and no effort made to do so. Next was no assistance in pointing us to the first Tee. The pro shop was stocked but offered no food except crackers/chips/ candy etc. No hotdogs and not a great selection of beer. etc.
Course seemed ok for all the rain recently not too wet except in a few areas that were well marked. BUT the greens were poorly cut on the edge and approach. Several dead spots in the greens and and no green ran the same speed. Obviously the grounds crew needs some direction here. John? Oh that's right no education or credentials in the golf business. Sorry our bad.
Generally un-assisting and non pleasant staff overall. John? Oh , you forgot to read up on Golf etiquette and rules too? Sorry our bad.
So in short there are far better courses in the area for 20-25$ per round that are friendlier and n better shape. Our advice? Do not waste your time.
