Golf carts
The parking brake setting is for the birds. On level ground, it is ok. But set the brake while trying to apply the brake, is near impossible.
Great course and layout.
Great course and layoff, but needs to improve cart and drainage of the course. It was super wet and my cart had a hard time going up a hill after playing the fifth hole. Great price to play the course compared to others in Shelby County area.
Great course. Grounds could be better in the fall.
I lobe the layout of this course. Price is a bit higher than I'd expect for the way the grounds are kept during the fall weather. My biggest complaint is the groundskeepers simply blow the leaves off the fairway and stop exactly at the rough. So if you have a bit of a slice like me you're unlikely to find a normally easily located ball because It will have found itself under 2 inches of leaves if not a perfect fairway strike. Aside from that the couse is varied and challenging. Staff is excellent. But for a 46 dollar green fee on the weekend, blow the leaves aback an extra 3 feet please
Frustrating
Kevin and I went to play 18 holes had plenty of time but when we got there they tell us we could only play 9. Then they tell us we have to get our money back from you guys instead of just giving us a rain check from them it stunk because the bad weather doesn’t come in tell late today.
Okay course bad facilities
The course was fine. It is not in horrible condition for the time of year. What was really bad was the facilities and staff. Everyone was friendly just fine, they charged me twice by accident which was annoying to get straightened out. The worst was the cart. The parking break didn’t work so we had to find a flat spot every shot so it wouldn’t run away. It barely made it up the hills. We quit after nine because it just wasn’t worth it to keep playing.
This course could be good…
First you get your tee time and pay pretty standard price for a round in the area. However, it’s no where near as good as other courses that are just a short drive away for the same price. The staff was rude especially the older gentlemen working the counter. Terrible attitude and does not make you feel welcomed. The clubhouse has NOTHING in it. No pro shop whatsoever. No amenities. A very small and very underwhelming concession with just chips and gatorades. Then you get out to the course. Half the golf carts don’t have working parking brakes and go very slow. Had to return a cart before even getting started. Even then every hill I was afraid the cart wouldn’t make it and go backwards. Then you finally play golf and the course is decent if it had some TLC. Mainly, blow the leaves off the greens is a minimum. Altogether it is a shame what this course has become. With the price, the quality, the clubhouse and especially the rude staff, I will not be coming back. Maybe when they turn it into a 9 hole and sell some of that land. They can invest and get better management, better maintenance, better carts and a friendlier staff.
Needs work
Course seems less cared for every time I play. Weeds in fairways, the ground around the cart path is eroding in many places, too much cracked dead earth, the whole course needs to the aerated. Some of the greens do still roll good, that’s the positive feedback I can give.
Not worth the money
Tee boxes were in poor chape greens were in poor shape
Course signage and fairways
Course signage wasn’t very visible and very confusing on which hole to go to next and where it was. Fairways look like the desert and some were way too short and too dry.
Disappointed
The greens were very slick, hard, and fast. The fairways were barren and don't tell me the grass was dormant. The concrete cart pathways. looked as if "Ian" had ravaged them. It is time to replace the gas carts.
We had played the course previously and really like the layout and the challenge of the course, but this course apparently looks to have fallen on hard times and is certainly not worth the $41.00 green fee.
Slow back 9
The last couple times I’ve played here the pace of play has ground to a halt at the turn. 8 am tee times we are flying through the front 9 but on the back multiplle groups including foursesomes just jumping on the back. we have to skip a hole or two to avoid a 5 hour round.
