A Really Good Course
We played here for the first time in a few years but have logged at least 100 rounds here since they opened (1979 I believe). The fairways were in the process of being converted to Bermuda the last time we were here and the conversion was well worth it. Very nice fairways and tees. The rough was tough but overall not unfair. The greens were good, and could have been better if a few people in front of us did a better job of fixing ball marks. That was really our only complaint. We saw familiar family faces of owners from 40 years ago and were treated like they appreciated us being there. It was busy here this morning but the pace of play moved pretty good. We played in under 4 hours playing the original 18 holes of the Knobs and Fodderstack 9's. We never really cared for the Chimney Tops 9 hole layout...Just a personal preference. Anyway, this is a really good golf course andwell worth the drive into the country to play it. We hope to be back soon.
Very poorly ran golf course!
Course was in great shape! They have the luxury of having 3 9s but unlike other courses they can't run it at all.we were second group out and followed a very slow twosome that they let go off first without even having a tee time. We finally made it to the turn and they went to the third 9 and we thought finally we won't have to wait, but sure enough the guy in the clubhouse ran another slow group over to start just in front of us,which should never happen! After watching them stretch and finally start we followed them for 6 holes, waiting every shot! Then they let us play through on 7. Just when we get moving we head to our last 9,because we paid for 27, before we started. And wouldn't you know it they start 2 foursomes in front of us so we waited 20 min to get to tee off!!! Needless to say we will not be back and really think it's the worst ran course I've seen in years, really need a ranger or someone who can better plan out the times!
Great Experience
A great course to play on a beautiful day. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hope to be back soon.
Hidden Gem
Great layout. Excellent conditioning. Greens were excellent...
running about 10 on the stimp. 27 holes of rolling hills on converted farmland with barns and tractors scattered around. Good test of golf. We played the Knobs and Fodderstack nines and rode around the Chimney Top 9. You can play all three 9s after 1pm for one green fee and I would recommend this. They are three challenging, well-conditioned and scenically interesting nines. Great bang for the buck. I'd pay double the price. It's off the beaten track and well worth the effort to get there. I belong to a private club and this is one of the finest public golf courses I've played in my 50+ years of golf.
Fantastic course for the money.
Nothing but good things to say about this course. Use to playing on high caliber courses and this one fits the bill. Beautiful layout, fantastic condition, and challenging for any level of golfer. I usually judge a courses condition by how many times I need to roll my ball to improve its lie when in the fairway. With this course, you don't need to touch your ball when in play. Greens are good size and receptive to a well played shot. Lots of beautifull tee shots from the tips make for a fun afternoon. Excellent value for the money. Want dissapoint.
It's simply the best golf course, hands down.
Graysburg Hills delivers the complete golfing experience. It provides a beautiful course layout with 27 enjoyable and challenging holes. The staff is always pleasant and extremely accommodating. I would recommend this course to every golfer as a must-play. The course speaks for itself and will not disappoint.
Excellent course
Everything went very well. We were early but they let us go ahead and start. Everybody was very nice. Will definitely go back.
A jewel off the beaten path!
Took a business trip to VA and a friend told me about this course, so we tried it on our way. Played Knobs and Fodderstock. Would like to have played Chimney Top, but work was calling. The greens and fairways were in great shape. The tee boxes were not in as good a shape, but did not bother our group. During the week you can play 27 holes for the price of 18. A great deal for a course of this caliber. The staff was great and very hospitable.
Beautiful course. Fun to play.
Graysburg is a beautiful course that is fun to play. We played on a holiday weekend and had no trouble getting 27 holes in less than 6 hours.
Some of the fairways were stressed but the greens were in good shape.
I always love playing at Graysburg Hills.

Scenic nine
Beautiful course excellent greens very scenic nine holes. Look forward to going back. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Always great condition.
Graysburg is one of the premier courses in this area. They have good facilities and the course is always in good shape. There are some fairly easy holes but also many challenging holes. Keep it in the fairway and the greens are accepting.
Great place to golf
This is a great course for the value. The staff is very friendly and the course is always in great shape. The green where not a fast as they are in the summer time but still rolled pretty true. If in the area I would recommend you playing this course.
An Above Average Course Offering 27 Holes of Play
This course has three sets of nine holes, each offering a unique experience. The fairways and the greens are all in great shape. Some of the tee boxes were in need of attention, but were not a major detraction.
The course is pretty challenge with many elevation changes and greens which require some precision to hit because they are so well protected. If you like a challenging course, I do not think you will be disappointed.
Very Good course for the rate. Also Winter rates were in place.
Great fall weather was enjoyed on this course and conditions were great. Beautiful area.
Nice, Quiet, Well Kept Course
I really enjoyed playing this course. It is a 27 hole course and we played the Knobs/Fodderstack 9's. Definitely one of the best kept up courses in the area. Greens were in amazing shape for late October. Can't wait to go back to play the Chimney Top 9!
The course was challenging and in excellent shape!
I loved playing Graysburg Hills! Beautiful course, friendly staff, perfect fairways and greens, and very scenic! Worth every penny!
