Corse review

This corse is always fun to play. But it is not for the novice. They spend to much time looking for balls.

Great course. Long day.

Very fun and challenging from the back tees. Fairways were hard and rolling, but I like that. Tight lies while chipping, and some were pretty wet, so muddy, but overall the course was in GREAT shape.

In my opinion, there were too many tee times. We waited on almost every single shot on a Thursday morning, which seems crazy. There was a starter but no ranger or anyone coming around to check pace of play. The group in front of us was keeping pace with the group in front of them, but that group had 2 full holes open in front of them by the turn. We also saw multiple groups of at least 5 people.

Great course overall. Would go back, but will be prepared for more than 5 hours of playing/waiting.

Great Course, poorly managed

Course is great. In good condition and a good value. But pace of play and complete disregard for it by management just sucks the fun out of what should be a great experience. It is not that the rangers were bad, it was the fact that there were/are none. Saw the cart girl twice per 9 holes but no ranger. When you have to wait on every tee box and go through a 5 plus hour round on a Sunday there is a problem.

I hate bad reviews but you asked to rate the experience. Is what it is. Afraid I will not be back. Too bad, I have had some great rounds at this place.

Good challenging course

Great link-style course with fairly dramatic changes on several holes. Greens are receptive to high shots. Not a lot of shade, but you just need to refill from the beverage cart. Lots of fun and will be back for sure.

Great course, short but difficult and fun, overbooked

The course was a fun design with a little water, including some water elements like creeks and bridges, etc. lots of bunkers both empty and with sand and the short rough was great. An above average golfer would largely be able to keep it out of the long rough but hit the ball there and you can forget about finding it. The course was well kept in general but it was certainly not the best kept course in the world. I hit a sprinkler about 5 feet off the green but it was in a hole about 10” deep so it really screwed up a fairly simple chip. That’s a normal hazard out in the field but right by the green is unusually placed.

I really liked the course as a whole but the biggest issue we had was the course was overbooked. A foursome ahead of us was sloooooow and then when we made the turn, we dropped off for 15 minutes to get a bite to eat and they wanted us to let 4 foursomes pass over us to keep them together. So it was just a pretty slow day but pretty fun nevertheless.

golf in Nashville

Played Greystone on a Friday with my son. Got paired with a very nice lady. Unfortunately, the pace of play was horrendous. Nearly 5 hours. No marshalls, etc. A shame it was so slow as it is a really good course and the condition was quite good.

Wet day

Nice course. Bad weather, off and on showers heavy at times. Played through it. I enjoyed the course and played long enough, without being too long. Look forward to going back on a better day
