Awesome golf course!!
This is one of my favorite golf courses to play in Tennessee! The course is very pretty and taken care of. The staff is very nice. My son in law hit his first hole in one on this day! Hole 3, 142 yards with a PW! I would put this course up against any public course in Tennessee. The only negative thing I could say about this place is, the tee times are too close together. This evening that we played, we had a group of 4 in front of us that was very slow and we had to wait every shot. Other than that, I would very much recommend this course.
Great overall experience
Started the round at 8am and 35 degrees and the weather as well as the golf heated up. loved the mix of different holes from cut out of the woods to wide open links style. Had some short target types holes to go along with long let it fly par 4's.
If ever back in the area will make it a point to play again. Top 10 all time course for me.
Monday afternoon golf
Beautiful , challenging and a fun course… Well worth the 45 minute drive any time…
Nice track with regards to layout. Fairways and rough are in excellent condition. Greens are a tad beat up but normal for the time of season and roll pretty fast and fair. If anything the break a little less than you read.
Pace was terrible. Paired with a tips player and we took one hour to play holes 10 and 11. He left saying the delay was killing his concentration. I trogged on and completed the round in just over 5 hours.
All in all great track and highly reccomend for a must play while in Nashville.
Really
After walking out of the clubhouse you can see this place is on another level felt like I was at a private course and didn’t belong. When you finish your 18 go ahead and book another tee time you won’t be disappointed.
Horribly managed beautiful course
Greystone is a beautifully designed course. Great layout, scenic and challenging. Unfortunately, that is where the compliments end. My poor rating of this course all stems from staff and management of the course. Our round took five hours to complete. This is primarily the result of poor tee time spacing at less than ten minutes. It is compounded by the starter. When we had our carts loaded and were about hit a few balls at the driving range we were told we were next up on the tee. This was 20 minutes before our tee time. When we tried to clear up the timing with the starter we were told to get to the tee. Very rude.
We waited in every tee and every approach shot for an extended time due to the back up on the course. We could see that there was a group of five on one tee box that seemed to be the cause of the backup. There was no marshall on the course at any time to deal with a fivesome or to address overall pace of play.
While the course is beautiful, the greens are not well taken care of by players. Most look like the surface of the moon from unrepaired/poorly repaired ball marks.
Sad to see a beautiful course being ruined by bad management.
Amazing and spectacular golf cours
Words can’t describe this place . One of my favorites . Worth the drive from Nashville. It’s tricky but fun ! Amazing shape . Staff awesome !
Loved it so much I decided to join!
I played Greystone by appenstance the first time... By choice all the other times when I could not play at my current club. Now I will play it because it is my new home club!
The course is challenging in some ways - with a few interesting holes, but overall, it is one of the best public courses I have had the opportunity to play.
Fairways are in good shape, as are the greens. Bunkers are well-maintained - which I could not say of my current private club.
So September 1st, I will become the newest member at Greystone Golf Club and look forward to years of happiness from it! And it's just 40 minutes from my house...
Best course in Tennessee
This is my favorite course to play. The day we played though, we had a group of 4 that was in front of us and they would not let us play through. Our group of 4 was playing "best ball," and they were playing their own. We had to sit and wait on every shot. It was so dark by the time we got through that we could barely see our ball. But this is still my favorite course by far!!
A round I will remember.
The fairways, tees, and greens were in great condition this Summer. Great value. Memorable round in that I had hole in one on #6 and got a free shower (soaking) on #14 green when Supt., by mistake, turned on the sprinklers. I didn"t buy drinks. The Staff provided drinks as to apologize for soaking. Great place!
TENNGOLFGUY
Played Greystone today. Course is in great shape. Very hilly but the fairways and T-boxes are in superior condition. Great value for golf!
Best Course in Middle Tennessee a Must Play
Fist time playing this year, I almost forgot how beautiful a course this is. I try to play here at least once a month because it's always in great shape. I drive almost 70 miles to play here and it's well worth it. I usually get a Hot Deal on Golf Now for about $25. I brag on this course whenever someone talks golf with me. The fairways are perfect and the greens rolled true. The greens were a little soft but we had a lot of rain yesterday. It's a must play course.
What a great track.
First place I will play when I come back to Tennessee. The condition was outstanding. The greens were fast but very playable and held every shot. Inside staff and the outside staff were very nice and helpful. Thanks for a great round with my son and I.
Must play this course
This is a must play course in middle Tennessee. Worth the drive for sure.
Amazing!
This course was awesome! It’s a challenging layout, but not too overwhelming for casual players. The course was in immaculate shape, I was really impressed. Great value for the money! If this course was in Franklin (where I’m from), it would be $50-60 a round. I will be back!
