Great value and course conditioning
Played this course when it first opened 19 years ago, it has matured wonderfully. Greens are quick and true, fairways are lush. Wild turkey hen nesting near 18th green, she couldn't care less about golf.
Always Love This Course
Greystone is the best designed and maintained non-private course in Middle Tennessee. The holes are challenging but with wide and lush fairways and large and extremely well cared for greens, this course is my local favorite. The layout and views are wonderfully appealing as well. Never been disappointed.
Excellent Public Course
Staff was very friendly and courteous. The course is in great shape and the greens rolled quick and true.
Great course
As always greens in great condition , bunkers could've used a raking.
One of my favorite coursed in Nashville area.
Tough when windy but best course in the area
I love this course and would much rather go here than spend an extra $20 to drive even farther from Franklin to some of the higher quality courses northeast of Nashville. The course was in excellent shape, especially considering the heavy rains we received in the last week. The course layout is challenging but fair and even tougher when the winds are up.
The only negative about the facilities themselves is that the men's room inside the locker room needs a refresh. From a golf perspective, I didn't see a single ranger on the course on a Sunday morning; pace was generally acceptable, but given how popular this course is, I would expect rangers to be beneficial.
Great Deal
The greens were great and had no scars. The fairways were in good shape too. Greystone is probably my favorite course in the region
Hidden Gem
Wonderful design, course was in excellent shape. One of the hidden gems in the state, worth the drive from Nashville.
A Course For The People
I had the pleasure of playing GreyStone while I was in town for business. The course is very unique as it somewhat sits in a valley and has a scenic backdrop of a large pond, river, and working quarry. The staff is beyond friendly, I honestly felt like I was "one of the guys" while in the pro shop. The course was in great shape for this time of year and I can see the full potential of the course beauty when things ripen in the spring. I only played 9 holes, but thoroughly enjoyed the layout, the pace of play, and staff friendliness. I definitely recommend playing GreyStone and will be back for the second nine in the future.
Great golf course!
We truly enjoyed Greystone. The staff was extremely friendly, and the course was in great shape considering we played in February. The course is challenging and has a great set up--we will have to come back to play it in the summer!
Great course
The course was great. It is in very good condition especially for winter. Greens are very receptive. The staff is also very friendly. I played alone so the pace for me was good. I bumped into a threeball around hole number 13. They were members (Wayne, Roger and another older gentleman). They invited me to join them and I did. They were a great group of guys, really good player, and true positive testaments to the quality of club members. I'd join myself if I didn't live so far away.
I'm a member out at Greystone and play it often, the course it seams, is always is great shape. The greens can be a little bumpy at times, but that's because people don't know how to fix a pitch mark. I've noticed in my two years of being a member, that the pace of play is usually very slow on the weekends, unless you play early in the morning. The golf course is otherwise very fun to play!
Overall, I would recommend this course to anyone.
Excellent Course
Always a great course condition wise. Hard to find a course in good condition during dormant winter season but this course always is well kept, greens roll well and the entire course drains very well.
Only complaint is how far it is from my home and the wind but that just makes the round more interesting.
Always a joy to return to this course. Many good memories and rounds.
Great course, great price, slow round
Greystone is one of the best courses in the Nashville area. The value for the price is excellent. I was a single and got stuck behind 2 groups at hole 6 and would not let me through. They were ridiculously slow, but I guess that is the chance you take as a single. I would play Greystone every day.
Great layout
Really enjoyed playing GreyStone. Elevation changes, water, and boulders made for an interesting and enjoyable round!
Great course with fun, challenging layout
The courses elevation changes are challenging and the greens roll true and fast. The course had a shotgun the day I played so pace was an issue and I wasn't informed of this when I booked my tee time but I would certainly recommend it to all golfers in the area.
Challenging and fun
Its worth the trip from downtown Nashville. Great Course
One of the most excellent course in Nashville
What is fascinating most is excellent couese maintenance. Needless to say that of fairway, trimming of green edges and tee grounds is outstanding.
Course design is also tactful and exciting to enjoy.. Hills and bunkers are also located artfully enough to embarrass us.
This is a course that truly incites us to challenge again.
