GreyStone Golf Club

Been to Greystone many times, the course layout is great. Condition is great. Amongst, if not, the best in Tennessee in my opinion. A bit of a drive for most. The issue is every time I play here the pace of play is horrible.

The website says a strict 4.5 hours. I don’t think I’ve ever had a sub 5.5 hour round here on the weekend. It is frustrating and truthfully ruins the flow of my game. There doesn’t seem to be any staff enforcing the pace of play either.

An amazing course with just the one blemish of pace. If slow play is something that really bothers you, I’d be wary of booking a time here.

This course was amazing, as it was my first time playing it as well. The greens were rolling fast, which is great, along with song green side spin. Fairways were in great condition, along with it being a tough design with the links. The only downside was the pace of play. We finishing in roughly 5 hr and 15 mins, which is ridiculous. Overall, can’t knock the course with pace of play, it was top 3 favorite courses I have played so far.

Considering we've no rain and excessive heat for weeks, the course looked great.

Beautiful course but I’m 5/5 on 5+ hour rounds. First visit for me in 2024, was hoping the pace had improved but not at all. Tee time was 12:21 but we weren’t able to tee off until 12:55. Finished at 6:15

Best public course in the area. Well maintained. No complaints.

Holiday round, so it was a little slow, but they were managing it.

One of the better public courses in the country. Club pro is a great guy, staff is as friendly as you could ever hope for. If I had ANY complaints it would be minimal and picky. AS hot as it is here in the summer I expected much more access to cold water throughout the round. Other than that ZERO complaints.

Challenging course fun to play for all skill levels. Very well maintained. Would not play again tho because I am not a par golfer and felt rushed by players behind us who were much better. Yes, we allowed them to play thru. Did not like that we had to stay on cart paths on many holes. Caused delays having to walk across fairways to hit ball and then back to cart. I understand this is needed to keep course nice, but also makes it not ideal for the beginner and itermediate golfers. Also we had sprinklers turn on for our last few holes and 2 of 4 of us stopped early because of it with no apologies or compensation.

Always a good time playing here. Layout and conditions are always good. Some challenging holes mixed with some easy.

Players aren’t fixing ball marks are greens causing them to be bumpy in some areas as well as people dragging their feet leaving marks. Expect to fix some areas or ramp them down prior to putting. Greens are slow right now, pretty grown up and damp. They’ve been watering them well. Hopefully they speed them up later this summer.

Had a blast playing this course. Staff was incredible! Will definitely be back.

A must play if living or visiting Middle Tennessee. Great atmosphere, course and staff friendly.

After driving all the way to Dickson to play this course that I have enjoyed a few times before, we get there to discover that the practice range was closed for maintenance so we couldn’t loosen up for the round. All but two of the ball washers were either dry as the desert or completely broken. Disappointing to say the least
