Twelve Stones Golf Club
About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Great views, just need a professional greens keeper. Photo submitted by HgaGolf on 10/06/2013
SAD. USED TO BE ONE OF THE BEST.
Really sad to see the shape of this course. The greens are all but lost. They are trying to patch in the bare spots but they really need to close it again and re-sod them. Way overpriced for the conditions. When I first started playing here years ago it was excellent, but the ever changing ownership and lack of course management it all but lost. Love the layout and playing it but going to go elsewhere until it get back in playing shape. Plenty other courses in the area that have decent to excellent greens.
Don’t play here
This course honestly shouldn’t be open right now. Every single green was in terrible shape, with dead spots so had that the pins were in the only green patches on the entire green. They need to do some major repair work.
Terrible conditions
This course is overpriced for the conditions. Probably not playing here ever again.
Horrible
This course is in sorry shape. Nearly every green is burnt and the tee boxes are the same. The fairways all have dried up dead areas. It was not as good as it had been in the past.
Tough scene
Upon arrival found out the range was closed. The practice area was severely neglected. Pretty much all the greens were chewed up. The course design itself is nice. You can tell at one point the course was one of the top in the state. However won’t be worth the drive for me to go back. Might give it a shot next season to see if course conditions improve.
Currently in bad shape
Course was in pretty bad shape as far as the greens are concerned. Most were burnt up and where they weren’t, they were inconsistent and very bumpy. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough were in good shape.
Would not recommend
Most of the greens and many of the fairways are in terrible condition. I did like the course layout. If green and fairway condition were to improve significantly, I would consider becoming a member, but in its current condition, I will not be playing this course again anytime soon.
Great Layout, Horrendous Conditions
Horses undergoing a lot of maintenance and in several fairways there’s more dirt than there is grass similar story on the greens but awesome layout with a lot of potential. Would not currently recommend anyone play there.
Great layout, Poor upkeep
This course is really fun and really challenging for any golfer, however since the last time my son and I have played at Twelve Stones Golf Course the greens and fairways really have gone down hill. The biggest issue for me was that all the greens were at least 25 to 30 percent unplayable because it was just dirt/ burnt grass. So if they could fix the greens or fairways then this course would be a 5 star course.
Potential to be an amazing course
Everything about this course could be an amazing golf course but the greens on the front nine were absolutely horrible it was like putting on concrete! They need to maintain upscale on their greens and youll have a fantastic course
Course is in terrible shape with greens, fairways and tee boxes more dirt than grass. Worse that I’ve seen this course in about 8 or 9 years. Played the course frequently while living in the area and play it when visiting over last 2 years. Very disappointed just driving up and seeing bare spots on fairways. Unbelievable that they still charge full price to play. I have been a loyal customer for several years but will not play again.
Pass on Twelve Stones
Nice people, course was a mess. Staff changer left them in trouble. Greens were generally bad.
Overpriced, terrible shape
This course should be ashamed of itself for having the audacity to charge 71 dollars on a weekday for a round of 18, when there was little to no golf course to play on. Sure, we’ve had bad weather…but there are plenty of other courses in the area that have grass. 12 Stones had no fairway, whatsoever. Then you hit your mud ball into where you think the greens should be and there’s an outline of what used to be a green, like a homocide chalk outline. Sand, dirt, bare spots as large as Alaska on these greens and they want to charge 71 dollars. I hadn’t played here in over a year because it was overpriced and not great before, but do yourself a favor and play somewhere else if you’re in Nashville. Hopefully they get it under control soon - and maybe discount peoples rounds until the course is in better shape.
Terrible
A goat track. Cart gps geofence was random and didn’t coincide with cart signs. Most greens were roped off due to being dead. Tee boxes were terrible. Won’t be going back again
Greens
Love the course layout. People are friendly but sorry they greens are toasted. Hope they can get them back in shape.
