Twelve Stones Golf Club
About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Great views, just need a professional greens keeper. Photo submitted by HgaGolf on 10/06/2013
course below average
Course is undergoing an abundance of maintenance with several tea boxes on reconstruction. Driving range was closed. Overall condition of greens and fairways were poor.
Well worth the drive from Nashville!
I loved the variety of holes on 12 Stones, from wide fairways on par 5s to tight par 3s. The elevation changes also provide an additional challenge. You also may see some wildlife!
Rate reduction
Great layout , great staff , great speed of greens (I love fast greens) .. thats where the great stops . $64 this time of year come on man . Greens like concrete . Dirt tee boxes . Construction on course so many tees moved up .. Both guys i played with said they wouldn’t come back . I will when everything is back to normal if price stays the same but if they take this to 80 or 90 dollars I will pass . This is barely a $ 60 course if everything is perfect .
Difficult, but fun little track. Greens are FAST.
Overall a challenging, but fun course. Some of the tee boxes are in rough shape, but it's Feb so I won't complain too much there. Lot of elevation changes and challenging holes. A lot of the driving holes have creeks basically where an average golfer would land their drive, so that's a challenge. The greens were insanely fast on most on the holes, like mind boggling fast. I've played pretty much every public course in the Nashville area and I've never played greens as fast as these were today.
Goodish
OK for the money. Fast greens. No ranger = slow play (staff opted to stay inside and keep warm). Needs signage. Cart path only (told that at check in), and some holes were under construction so had to play ladies tees (told that at check in, too).
Must play
This course was challenging but so very enjoyable to play. Will definitely return when again in the area from Michigan.
Great course
Not sure what the few negative posts are but this is a wonderful course and challenging layout. The new owners are investing in the new tee boxes and other areas. If you’re looking for a place to join this is one of the best deals around. Get in now before the rates go up.
Keeps getting worse play Hermitage instead
This course just continues to get worse and worse, the starter is quite possibly the meanest old man you will ever meet. The grass is completely burnt up, the tee boxes are trash everything about this course is just terrible. The staff is so rude it's unbelievable. Why pay 85 to $95 to play 18 here when you can play Hermitage for a little bit cheaper and it's so much nicer.
Cool Views, And That’s It
To be charging what they are charging here is a joke,
Hilly, a little wild and making improvements
A checkered past put this course behind the 8-ball, but new ownership is beginning to turn it around. Conditioning is slightly scratchy but improving, and the layout is quirky but has several fun holes that play either precipitously uphill or downhill. The long drop-shot par-3 6th hole is a standout, and the clubhouse and restaurant have been reimagined into a hangout for locals – golfers and otherwise.
Fast greens
Overall a great time! Practice chipping area could use some love. Have to walk a good bit over the practice greens to get there and the greens of which were more in fairway shape, so you can’t get a feel for how chipping onto a green actually is. Course was in decent shape for this time a year ago greens were nice and fast but did have some dead spots for sure. I’d gotten a hot deal tee time for $55 which is a good price for this place (it’s definitely not worth the $80 I’d sometimes seen this summer). One of our players is new to the game and a few holes were cart path only so we were a little slow but didn’t seem to be holding people behind us up too much, but the Marshall was a little too antsy about it. Following behind us a few holes just seemed annoying. But overall, I really like the layout of the course and find it super fun. For a decent price I’ll be back more.
