Twelve Stones Golf Club
About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Great views, just need a professional greens keeper. Photo submitted by HgaGolf on 10/06/2013
Fun course but not in good shape currently
This course has potential but is not in good shape currently. Tee boxes were uneven and mostly dirt and sand. Fairways were in good condition but the greens were the worst part. Usually 50% of the greens were sand or dirt and dead. Super bumpy and not consistent at all. We were very disappointed in a $60 fee for these conditions.
No good
Decided to play here because it’ll be the only MidAm qualifier site in the area in a couple months and I haven’t seen it in a long time. Yea, yikes. The TGA might want to rethink this choice. It’s a fun undulating design but my goodness is it in bad shape all the time. They might be gambling that the course will be in better shape by then. Risky!
Course was terrible
I haven’t played here in years and doubt I’ll be back. Fairways were horrible. Mostly dead. Tee boxes were trash. One hole we teed off from the fairway. Greens are in terrible shape. For the amount of money it’s not even closer to worth it. Play somewhere else.
Donte pay $80 to play here.
To start with the range was closed with no notice prior. Then once you step up the tee boxes they’re basically all dirt (as pictured). The fairways were in pretty rough conditions, and the course needed some heavy weed-eating work. Greens were either good or bad, a lot of them had tons of bare spots. The course could be nice but it needs a lot of work. The course is not worth the price at all, I would pay $45 max.
Course Under Repair
Many tee boxes were only dirt and in some cases were set to championship distances. Greens were bare in many spots, and many of the pin placements were near the edge of greens. The toll of the winter months was obvious and given the course conditions charging $ 75 per round is way too high.
Course seems to be under reno
played it Easter weekend with my FIL for the first time. he has played it in the past and said it was a solid all around good course but right now it is in terrible shape. 5 tees or so are under repair and all the tees are up at the senior/ladies location. greens hard as a rock. land it 10 yards short and you will roll onto the green. land on the green and its going to roll over back/side. very tricky but could be fun/challenging if the greens will hold.
course below average
Course is undergoing an abundance of maintenance with several tea boxes on reconstruction. Driving range was closed. Overall condition of greens and fairways were poor.
Well worth the drive from Nashville!
I loved the variety of holes on 12 Stones, from wide fairways on par 5s to tight par 3s. The elevation changes also provide an additional challenge. You also may see some wildlife!
Rate reduction
Great layout , great staff , great speed of greens (I love fast greens) .. thats where the great stops . $64 this time of year come on man . Greens like concrete . Dirt tee boxes . Construction on course so many tees moved up .. Both guys i played with said they wouldn’t come back . I will when everything is back to normal if price stays the same but if they take this to 80 or 90 dollars I will pass . This is barely a $ 60 course if everything is perfect .
Difficult, but fun little track. Greens are FAST.
Overall a challenging, but fun course. Some of the tee boxes are in rough shape, but it's Feb so I won't complain too much there. Lot of elevation changes and challenging holes. A lot of the driving holes have creeks basically where an average golfer would land their drive, so that's a challenge. The greens were insanely fast on most on the holes, like mind boggling fast. I've played pretty much every public course in the Nashville area and I've never played greens as fast as these were today.
Goodish
OK for the money. Fast greens. No ranger = slow play (staff opted to stay inside and keep warm). Needs signage. Cart path only (told that at check in), and some holes were under construction so had to play ladies tees (told that at check in, too).
Must play
This course was challenging but so very enjoyable to play. Will definitely return when again in the area from Michigan.
